Pushing a boulder up a hill in Tartarus. It has it's ups and downs.
  1. I've just backed this, it looks amazing and such interesting ideas. Tangiers - Surrealist stealth n5ZcWyH2eqY I think it's cool how the city collapses and rebuilds itself depending on how you interact with it. It'll be interesting to see how they implement that. Also how you can take what people say and change the world. The art looks amazing, so dark and atmospheric. Needs backers though guys, so throw in a few $$ if you like the look https://s3.amazonaws.com/ksr/assets/000/750/589/2f

  4. I think you may have missed the point if you thought she was just giving examples of DiD. She said that DiD dis-empower women; that it objectifies them as trophies to be won by the male protagonist.
  5. Yeah, I watched it and have an opinion on it. It's good, I like what she is doing. Had I known about her kickstarter when it was going I would have backed it. It's great to have a feminist perspective on games and it would be awesome if it ended up with some good female leads in computer games that aren't basically adolescent male masturbation fantasy. Did you see the misogynistic backlash from the most insecure boys in the world? Some of the things they were saying about Anita Sarkeesian was abhorrent. It truly highlighted the need for feminism in the gaming community.
  6. Here's how they are celebrating it in Barcelona. Just get a few friends round and have a bit of a party. Or try and organise something bigger, like the people above. Important thing is people, recognition of women in all their glory and having fun! Edit: Anyone know what the sign says? My Spanish is not the best.
  7. I'm all for equality. Though some seem to want more, talking about such geniuses who claim that men are a mistake of nature and shouldn't exist. Though i guess everyone can be an asshole, but that's what many these days associate with feminism. Yeah some feminists can be man bashers who blame us for everything. They can make it worse as it just alienates men from their ideas and drives men and the ideas of feminism apart. Like you say it's what most people associate with feminism and it couldn't be further from the truth for most feminists.
  8. I hope so. Feminism is by no means a bad thing. You should be supportive of women and their fight for equality.
  9. International Men's Day It's not as widely known as IWD as men haven't been as oppressed as much as women have.
  10. They're not so bad, they love kittehs just like everyone else.
  11. A lot of militant groups use the fist symbol - militant feminists, revolutionary socialists and black power. It's an all round winner!
  12. Haha, I didn't even think of that. I picked the fist because it's militant . . . and that's cool. Maybe a little. I have been wishing everyone, men and women, a happy IWD though
