  1. Man, I can't explain how happy I am that Japanese games have become popular again. I can't wait to see if any JRPGs make a big splash at E3 besides Kingdom Hearts.
  2. I haven't played one of their games since Walking Dead Season Two, which I really enjoyed. I just never got around to Lost Frontier, then started hearing incredibly mixed reactions to it. I'll probably grab it soon, so I can dive into the final season. They kind of pulled me back in by saying it would be the end of Clementine's story. I played the first episode of Borderlands and thought the writing was actually better than the main Borderlands games, but never got around to finishing it. I just want them to drastically rebuild their engine. Preferably from scratch. Or just license Unreal or Unity. They've been using the same engine for over a decade now. It's showed it's age a long, long time ago.
  3. Deep dive into the layoffs and working conditions at the studio. Also a good jumping off point to talk about how this kind of stuff is a huge problem in the industry at large. https://www.theverge.com/2018/3/20/17130056/telltale-games-developer-layoffs-toxic-video-game-industry
  4. I'm just now seeing this. This is nice to see. I'm really drunk though.
  5. Some terrible anime trash called Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. I love it.
  6. That's exactly why I'm excited for it. I'm ready for this god damn stupid fever dream.
  7. Your Name is just a stunningly well made film. I wish it could be nominated for Best Picture, but that's never going to happen.
  8. Capcom is teasing a Mega Man 30th Anniversary stream on Monday and the way they're teasing it and sending items like birthday cards to different news sites seems like way to much effort to just announce a new Collection or merchandise. I think Mega Man 11 is finally happening!
  9. I've been playing Injustice 2 and Uncharted: Lost Legacy. Both really good, but man, can I not stand Netherrealms insistence on using down, back, forward button combos so often. Just let me do some half circles or something.
  10. Amazing. This is the type of quality shitposting I would be interested in backing financially.
  11. River City Ransom: Underground captures everything that is appealing about the series. My only complaint so far is that some of the characters movesets seem too limited at first. it makes playing as them really difficult at the start, because they just don't have enough options. It's easy to fix that with about an hour or so of grinding though. And when the game has the same kind of controlled chaos in battle that the series is known for, I don't mind it too much. They even added random events. I was just beating up some generic thugs, when out of no where, Abobo burst through a wall and kicked my ass. This game is dope.

  13. Since I finally have good wifi that lets me play games online without having to hookup my ethernet cable, I've been wanting to play online games a lot more. So I jumped back into Splatoon 2 and Overwatch. I was gonna jump back into Street Fighter V last night, but because I haven't played since before Abigail came out, I had to download 10 GBs of updates. I'll probably jump back into it tonight though. Oh I also played Downwell for the first time. It's pretty good.
  14. Don't listen to this if you don't want Mario Odyssey spoilers, but god damn!
  15. I haven't gotten everything yet. There's a lot to get. A new kingdom opens up after the ending too. It's too early for me to say how it compares to Galaxy and I never actually played much 64. It's really good though. I couldn't stop smiling while playing it.
