So psyched that BA is finally here! I am between gaming PC's at the moment but I have installed it on my HTPC (which is basically my old gaming machine, but with a low end video card and attached to the TV). I am not planning on playing through the game until I get a new PC and I was surprised that it even ran smoothly, but it does
Anyhoo, here's the specs of the machine (don't have time to get on there for a DxDiag, sorry):
CPU - Core 2 Duo E8400
MoBo - ASRock G41C-S
RAM - 8GB G-Skill 1333 (2x4GB)
Video - ATI Radeon 5450 1GB
So, here's a couple of things I've noticed from just playing the first 5 minutes or so of each character:
-When I first booted up the game, it started in windowed mode, but my cursor was still active on Steam in the background. A quick Alt-Enter fixed this and when I went into settings I found that it was already defaulted to fullscreen. Next time I booted it happened again, so I went into options, toggled window mode, then back to fullscreen, and it seems to have fixed the problem. It now loads up in fullscreen.
-There was an animation for both characters where their neck would show through their face. For Shay it was when he was getting hit with the hair dryer at the very start. For Vella it was when she fist entered her surprise party (can't remember exactly what the animation was, but she tilted her head).
-This one is just general feedback. When Vella enters her party, I went and talked to "Grandma" (french bread hat) and my dialogue options were:
Tell me about the maidens feast
have you seen the knife
Why don't we FIGHT Mog Chothra
I found it a little weird to be asking about fighting Mog Chothra before I, as the player, had learnt about it a little. I know Vella should know all about it, but it still would have felt better if that option was under the "tell me about the maidens feast/what is Mog Chothra" dialogue tree.
Anyway, that's all I've got, great game so far - hope I don't have to wait too long to get a new PC to play it properly.
