  1. I'm a relatively late joiner here. A lot of users from Telltale's forums migrated to these boards, and after a while, I followed suit. While I backed Broken Age, I wasn't active on the forums then, but I did get a little more active in the MASSIVE CHALICE boards, like with the Bloodline Backer testing. I'll miss the forums here. I like the ability to go back an re-read old posts and threads, or be able to participate in conversations that were initiated much earlier, which are things I don't think you can do as easily with the real-time discussion of Discord. But I'm glad they plan on keeping these boards archived, and, I will adapt. To all those who posted here, thank you for all the fun and games! Thank you to the moderators for trying to keep us in line. And thank you to Double Fine for providing this service, as well as the new ones!
  2. How did this one slip by the original game? On second thought, there's probably a good reason for that.
  3. 'Tis the season, and hopefully I'll get a few more posted here before the forums go down. Maybe I'll post in Discord if I make any after that.
  4. Awww, bummer. I know these forums weren't used much, but it was nice having them around. According to Spaff, they'll still be here to read, so I can take some comfort in that. I kind of preferred the forum system to Discord's real-time chat. But I guess I'll have to adapt. Is there a date for when they'll be shut down for good?
  5. @pvpayton, I know MY reply is way too late, but I love the Bit-O-Squirrel! I hope everyone has a metal Rocktober 13th.
  6. Mark Darin of Telltale fame has a Kickstarter for his latest project with a few other collaborators: Nick Bounty and the Dame with One Blue Chewed Shoe, a comedic noir adventure game. Check it out!
  7. It looks like they'll be getting rid of their classic in-house game engine, the "Telltale Tool", in favor of Unity. https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2018/06/25/telltale-retiring-engine-for-unity/#more-558609
  8. Holy Monkey Bladders! Escape From Monkey Island is available on GOG! https://www.gog.com/game/escape_from_monkey_island Admittedly, not my favorite Monkey Island game, but notable that they're bringing it back.
  9. Everyone here probably already knows this, but I just saw that The Curse of Monkey Island has been released on GOG and on Steam! Wow! A pirate I was meant to be! Trim the sails and roam the sea!
  10. One more to finish out the season. Happy Halloween!
  11. I don't know if I'm putting too much time into this project or not enough, but either way, I think I'm having more fun with it than I ought to.
  12. In honor of Gabe Cinquepalmi (Costume Quest producer/writer, and creator of Double Fine comic "Dirt Nap"), I made the following. I'm sorry. And one more, because circles are easy to draw. You've heard of an Everlasting Gobstopper? Well, this is an Underwhelming Globstobber.
  13. Great job, everyone! Looking good! @Jenni, Nice one! I guess if Tim got "Schafer's Wafers", Spaff deserves a "Spaffy Taffy". Any other DF'ers want to be immortalized in Creepy Treat form? @Kewl Lemon, If Double Fine were edible, I'd give it to all the Trick-or-treaters! I like how you made the robot look like the costume from Costume Quest! Looks chewy, too! Here's some more from me: Double Fine, you better make Costume Quest 3 fast, before we take all the good Creepy Treats. (Or you can just use ours.)
  14. Would it be possible to build an indoor skydiving pad over a giant theremin?
  15. Is anyone else here playing Cuphead? I was a little hesitant at first, since super-hard bullet-hell type games never really appealed to me. I'll admit, I've gotten frustrated on several occasions, but after (a lot) of practice, I finally got the hang of some of the tougher levels. And, of course, the beautiful visuals and music make the game a sheer delight.
  16. Ha, ha, I really dropped the ball on this one. But FIE! on forum etiquette, I'm bringing this back. Hopefully I'll get in a few more by Halloween. Here's the one I planned to pair with the last one: Hint:
  17. "Yakko's World", Brought to you by the movies! This is brilliant.
  18. Keep your nose to the grindstone! I really like how this game is shaping up! That pottery sculpting is slick!
  19. To vary up gameplay, it looks like a lot of those ideas could be combined differently for each game. Like "You're the tooth fairy, but you have babies for hands" or "Tennis hell, but hands are snakes", etc. Or mix it up like: "one hand baby, one hand beehive". Anyway, it's looking like a lot of goofy fun! I like that art style and floppy effect!
  20. It looks like your code has a memory leek. Keep up the good work!
