  1. And you went and stood out front with your hot breath steaming up the windows and your shaking little hands squeaking on the glass until they came out and chased you away, hour after hour? Or, didn't you even go and just look? Don't say you didn't even go near the place. That's like living across the street from the Smithsonian and never visiting it. It's like living across the street from a time machine that goes back in time to Hitler's birth and not killing him.
  2. Also, as further proof that I am both Schafer and metal savvy, I saw the original cinematic trailer for this game on the old DF website the day it was announced. The song in the trailer (which is now no longer available) was "The Mob Rules" by Black Sabbath during its Dio days. The old Brutal Legend website (which is long gone now) had Hellion/Electric Eye by Judas Priest as its background music.
  3. http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/4066/proofhl.png ^the side of the sneakers in question http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/8083/proof2m.png Tim's sig is kind of hard to see on my sneakers because he was signing posters in silver Sharpie marker, but I circled his name. He also wrote "Metal!!!" by Little 'Eddie's mouth. http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/8628/proof3w.png ^the poster in question. Notice that its graphic is the same as the Brutal Legend cover (the screencap is of the lower-right hand corner of the poster where Tim signed it) and that he made a reference to my accomplishment in Psychonauts in his signature. This was at Comic-Con 2009 where he was at the EA booth promoting Brutal Legend. He said my shoes didn't smell too bad.
  4. Quite the contrary, my good man. I had Tim sign my copy of Psychonauts and my heavy-metal themed Iron Maiden sneakers before this game's release. I loved both before Brutal Legend, and I do not think that people who didn't are inferior. Really you did? Give us proof, take pictures of them and show us here on DFAF. I lent my copy of Psychonauts to my friend but I'll post a pic of the shoes and of the Brutal Legend poster he signed. It said "Congratulations on finding Milla's nightmares", a reference to Psychonauts. He asked me if I'd played it and I said yes and he wanted to know what my favorite level was and if I had beaten Meat Circus. I told him Milla's nightmare room was my favorite level.

  6. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing to like heavy metal because of this game. But I had hoped that there would be more metalheads drawn to this game because of its theme, and not vice-versa.
  7. It's not "THIS THREAD IS ONLY FOR REAL FANS". I'm just asking who's met him, and what was it like for them? I thought he was extremely nice and funny, but still maintained his "celebrity status".
  8. I met him at the EA booth at Comic Con 2009. He signed a Brutal Legend poster (saying "congrats on beating Meat Circus and finding Milla's secret room") and he signed my Iron Maiden sneakers. It was the best day of my life.
  9. Ignorant. BL's multiplayer is derived from a PC game called Sacrifice. You can say the multiplayer is basically Sacrifice-On-A-Console. Don't believe me? It's all about control scheme.
  10. A cartoon directed by Jhonen Vasquez! That would be awesome seeing how Richard voiced Zim. God no. Jhonen Vasquez is NOT Tim Schafer. Do not want.
  11. Okay, it's clear you don't like the RTS battles. I think I can help. 1. If you remove the awesome Action/RTS hybrid events, you have Nintey Nine Nights or Dynasty Warriors. 2. Go play that instead. You'll be bored in one hour. 3. Go back to Brutal Legend. I never made it clear that I don't like the RTS battles. I love the RTS battles. I would just love an extra Arena skirmish gamemode to hone my battle skills against other players.
  12. "HEY EVERYBODY LOOK AT ME I'M A GIRL ON THE INTERNET"
  13. The picture is good, but I really didn't like it all that much.
  14. A MULTIPLAYER MODE DESIGNED FOR AVATAR BATTLES! IT WOULD BE AMAZING! YOU COULD HAVE TEAMS! YOU COULD FULLY SAVOR YOUR SLOW-MOTION KILLS AND FOCUS ON THE TASK-KICKING AT HAND! I WON'T STOP TYPING IN CAPS BECAUSE THIS IDEA PLEASES ME SO MUCH I FEEL A NEED TO EXPRESS IT!
