  1. The ability to fly anywhere in the world is actually a debug option in the game. It's how the testers were able to get from one place in the world to the other super fast. The reason you can't fly is because the world streams and loads as you cross it. When you fly, Eddie moves so fast that the loading of the world can't catch up and it makes the world not look as good as it should, to put it politely. As for not jumping... our publisher before EA asked us to remove that feature. Wait, why would they want you to remove jumping? I find that really strange. Ah, I found the answer in a Gamepro interview... GP: Considering your last game was a platformer, why wasn't there a jump button for Eddie? Schafer: We never felt the need for it when playing. You might feel like you need it for the first few minutes, but the game never really gives you a reason to jump. We don't have a lot of difficult-to-reach collectibles. And you can fly, so when the controller started to get crowded, we didn't want to double or triple up on buttons. Also if we added jump, that would multiply the difficulty of production, and it would be one more aspect we'd have to add to an already complicated game. We decided that jumping wasn't critical to our core mechanic, so we eliminated it. I've been playing for six months, and I never needed to plat' a single 'form. There's no platforming to be found. Brutal Legend needs no jump button just like Pikmin and Overlord need no jump button. See the bolded part. Every feature no matter how big or how small all costs money. It's up to the publisher and the developer to decide if the benefit is worth the cost. I've actually been learning this in class. But at least this shows that people are really interested in looking to how it can be better, right?

Brutal Legend needs no jump button just like Pikmin and Overlord need no jump button. Yet there are glitches that would of been debugged a little better if they had a jump button. I fell into some rocks once and if I had a jump button, I could of got out of it easy. Sometimes it is nice to have a jump button in a game though I do understand why they said what they said. I still wouldn't call it a Major fail though. more like a little disadvantage. For the flying, I can also see why not. It would be to easy to keep flying farther and farther out to sea without anything to stop you. if it had a wall there, it would look cheesy. Still... it would be nice for more quests if you could fly. I would like to see a Drop attack too. You fly above the person and then do a pound right on top of them.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/show/achievementhunter?s=2 Achievement Hunters did a couple of specials on Brutal Legend Quests and so you could check them out and see how to do the quests instead of being told.
  4. I wasn't a big gamer before and I still heard about the multiplayer. Of course it could also be because my friends are game nuts. I need to get more into it since thats where my studies are taking me.
  5. Most sequels are awful. And don't tell me to shut up. I have every right to ask for people's opinions on why they think something Unfortinitly.... he does have a point that he has every right...... though I wish he didn't sometimes.
  6. Thank you..... you helped out so much better then those other guys.
  7. We are not bumping this.... its a good discusion and if you don't want to get anouncements on it then tell your profile to stop watching it. People are annoyed by the spelling of "secual". It is very annoying seeing that error. I'm sorry that Ilm bad at spelling ok!!!!
  8. Right now I'm trying to go though the game and finish it all the way, 100%!
