  1. AHHHHH SO GLAD Y"ALL LIKE IT!! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. Keep em coming!
  2. Dear Backers of Adventure! Hi. This is Tim. On the eve of our special backer preview of Broken Age Act 2 (aka "Broken Age") I feel moved to write you all a poem. Please bear with me. O! Backers, sweet backers, Dear backers of ours! Put down your power tools! Pull over your cars! Something is happening. It's so effing good. It came slow, but it came As fast as it could. Here's something I've waited three years to say: Broken Age is finished and ready to play. Holy smokes! Can you believe it? It feels weird. Weirder than I can summarise with that smiley face emoticon. I definitely feel happy, and relieved, and grateful. But mostly I'm just excited! Because I like the game and I hope you will too! Be on the lookout for an email from Humble Bundle with special instructions for getting the game early on Steam. Then play Broken Age! Your old save game will work, but I personally recommend starting over from the beginning. Now, now, no grumbling. You don't HAVE to. I can't force you. YET. But you really should, and after all, it won't take you long since you know all the puzzles. There are just so many hints and story set ups that happen in Act 1 that you need to remember for Act 2 to make sense. Plus, achievements! Anyway, whatevs. You don't have to start over. That's just my recommendation. I'm like that waiter that tells you how to eat your food. No actual legal authority, but you know he's right about the ponzu sauce. Sounds like a cliche, but it's a fact: This has been a long and crazy journey that we've all been on together. It's been a documentary and a phenomenon and a news item, but now it's just a game. And I really hope you like it because you helped to make it. And not just with your money. Everybody else gets the game on Tuesday. It comes out that day on PC/Mac/Linux, and also PS4, VITA, OUYA, iPad, iPhone, and Android! So please tell all your friends! Feel free to be loud about it! We need to make sure the internet is filled with Broken Age buzz on Tuesday so everybody the world over knows that adventure games aren't dead! Well, I guess they heard that three years ago, but I think it's time they all hear it again. This isn't our final word to you, the backers. There's another documentary episode coming, and probably more updates. Plus, I think I left my jacket at your house. But this is a huge milestone--shipping the game!--so lets raise a spoonful of flavored nutritional paste and toast to Vella and Shay, and to Broken Age--the game that we all made together. Thanks for backing. And for sticking by us for three years. You were the best thing that ever happened to us. Love, Tim
  3. Oh, sorry. All the other cows started walking away for some reason, and I couldn't help but follow. I'm not sure why we do that. Anyway, the human woman of which I speak is none other than Maria Canals! Maria was on the Tony Danza show, and guess who else was on that show? Tony Danza! But she also played the part of Mercedes Colomar in Grim Fandango. So there you have it. Tony Danza and Tony Plana are practically brothers. But instead of sharing parents, they share Maria Canals. Unfortunately, you did not solve this riddle in 24 hours, and therefore I ate the prize. But you have been given the greatest prize of all, which is yours to cherish forever: INFORMATION.
  4. Brütal Lament

No one has announced that there would not be a PC version. No one knows what the future may or not hold. Not even me. Now, shhhhh.
  5. No, but that is in fact a valid connection between those humans. And a woman, no less. The connection of which I speak is a different woman, who is herself connected with a game of yore.
  6. No, Michael, your story is not lame, but it is a red herring. There is a very strong connection between Tony Plana and Tony Danza, and it is stronger, even, than ALF. But I'm sure you know this already and are just trying to give someone else here an opportunity to appear smart or cool. Very generous of you. So I won't spoil your game by naming the connection here. But I wonder why no one has figured it out yet. Let me give you a hint: The bond between Tony Plana and Tony Danza... is a woman. A human woman. You have 24 hours to identify her.
  7. Europa

Discussions of Europa, the sixth moon of Jupiter are expressly forbidden by the DFAF Guide to Decency. The full purpose of the Europa Clause will never be completely revealed, but of course, one of its side-effects is to reveal the true enemies of Double Fine--Which it has now done, thanks to this thread.
  8. Hi

That picture is false, and a lie. Here are the facts: Tim Schafer is extremely handsome, and never wears white.
  9. This is a fine thread. And you are all fine people. Let me just say that. Some fine ideas for store products in this thread too. If you would like the shopkeepers to hear your pleas, why not make them over in the double fine shop forum? Here, let me draw you a map: Forum Home > Double Fine > Double Fine Shop The shopkeepers love to hear about all your product ideas. But be nice, because they are easily wounded. You would not believe how loud those people can cry, even when you are just teasing.
