      These Forums are closing!   10/04/2019

After more than a decade of serving this community well, these forums have finally run their course and it's time to close them down. That doesn't mean we want to close the doors on our community, quite the opposite!
Our discord server grows ever busier by the day, and we encourage all Double Fine fans to meet us over there www.discord.gg/doublefine In a short time these forums will become a read only archive and will remain that way until they become needed again.
You never know, it might happen.  There is... a prophecy. Thank you all for being part of these forums, and remember that the fun is definitely not over - so please join us on Discord! Love ya, Spaff, Tim, Info Cow, and all of Double Fine.

  2. Hmm, Mac OS X 10.6.8, 2GHz Intel Core Duo... Game starts up, opening menu works beautifully but upon beginning the game black screen, stuttering audio, crash. Turned off Steam Social, don't think I'm running anything in the background either. I'd chalk it up to this being a rather old laptop but the menu looks and acts great. I'll followup with my logs. (Oh, and thanks to the fantastic team at Doublefine, can't wait to get playing!)
  3. Your favourite quotes (may include spoilers)

One of the coolest dialogue moments for me so far is right before you set out to obtain the scaffolding and as you talk to everyone one by one they all say 'hurry' in there own way up until you get to the bikers who dismissively say 'whatever man' and The Killmaster who says 'Why the F*** should I care!?' They make it so you talk to everyone else before you reach those two and let the pun play out.
  4. The couple of times I went to check up on people who had seemingly disconnected and it looked like they were still on Xbox Live. My guess is our connection got lost... it's hard to tell.
  5. Double Fine Action Xbox Live Gamertag

And now that I've started the account and all that I'm going to give it one simple bump and see if anyone else wants to join in on the fun.
  6. Double Fine Action Xbox Live Gamertag

Going to update the top of this thread to make all those tricky details easier to find.
  7. Double Fine Action Xbox Live Gamertag

I was thinking about just calling it Two Headed Baby that way we can become Xbox Live friends with the dual headed infant himself... or not.
  8. Double Fine Action Xbox Live Gamertag

I'm going to throw up something, possibly temporary, and see how it goes. I'm hoping because this is an Action Forum for Action Fans there will be a lot of Double Fine loyalists with a good sense of humor and a good attitude. Perhaps we can all come up with a sweet name for the account-- it's gotta be 10 characters or less. Schafers Kids? Doubliners? What'll it be?
  9. Double Fine Action Xbox Live Gamertag

I was thinking maybe a veteran forumgoer might step in. I honestly don't know how to deal with the 100 gamertag limit. I guess you can always make another account... friend it first so it's at the top of the first accounts friend list. People could just click 'view friends' on account two to see a new list? Seems wildly complicated.
  10. Tired of not being able to find friends to play larger Brütal Legend matches? Sure you are, that's why I've created the Xbox Live Action Xbox Live Gamertag which'll hopefully be able to make finding awesome people to play epic matches. Here's how it goes: Start by adding the gamertag 'Two Headed Baby' as your friend on Xbox Live. Once you’re request goes through just select the 2HB account, go over to the tab labeled “personal profile”, and hit 'view friends' to see a spiffy list of Double Fine fans new and old ready to play some Brutal Legend. Now I don’t now how many people are going to try and friend this thing so be prepared to be denied entry because the list is full. I’ll see what to do if that happens… which hopefully it doesn’t.
  11. I actually threw this out there a few months ago in a different post so maybe a second request will get Double Fine to notice that we're willing to give them money for these things. They have this artist Nick Busby doing these really odd and completely random gamer-pics (his website is so strangely amateur looking) so I can't see why they wouldn't want you guys, the extremely talented game oriented artists that you all are, doing some stylish pictures and themes. I want to give you money, you want to take my money, it all works out in the end.
  12. Double Fine Action Gamer Pictures?

Yeah, it makes sense several themes don't look all that spiffy because they are meant to be a quick and easy means of advertisement and don't really go through any artists beforehand but I was actually thinking of the buttons, the ones that don't feature Vivendi/Majesco copyrighted characters of any sort. There are actually these gamer pics and themes done by a man named 'Nick Busby' who, judging from his not-so-pretty website is just some independent artist and not attatched to any real company or corporation. I'd assume that something like your buttons (the action-comics ones) would make for some really cool gamer pics. I'd especially like to see the Polaroids as a gamer picture pack.
  13. After updating my Xbox 360, what do I stumble upon but a couple of new downloadable freebies based of the wildly popular Double Fine title Psychonauts. Condering they are free (and are a means of promotion for the game's new home in the Live Marketplace) I doubt much thought went into these. Of course, the gamer pictures are nice and any of the Psychonauts art is bound to look great no matter what form it's in but I can't help but feel that these weren't created specifically by Double Fine. That got me thinking though, those action buttons would make great action gamer pictures. I'd buy them, all you would buy them, everybody who owns a 360 would probably buy them and the world will be a happier place!
