Oh man, you guys have no idea how fun the pot throwing tech is already. Magic going on over here!!
  2. More teams joining AF2017

Yeah sames! Ever since the Community team started jamming alongside us we've always wanted to figure out a way to get more game dev pals involved in the funtimes. Glad it's happening!!

I'd definitely want to make sure each run has something significant happen from a story perspective. In some cases that would be something conversational between you and the person you're sharing the boat with, but sometimes it may be more action focused or an event in the world around you. I do think most would be pretty dialog light though. Games sure can tend to talk too much these days. I'd like to have a solo mode option with no partner too which would illuminate all dialog and storylines that would need that. I'd think the major branches in the river/path would hold the more significant story moments, but I'd like the other systems to add a ton of variety in the details and scenery. No two trips down the river ever feel quite the same and I'd like to reflect that. Hoping to give a ton of replay value so folks can use it to relax or take a virtual trip when the real thing isn't possible.

Hey dudes, thanks for watchin! Yeah I imagine we'd do something slightly stylized first person, along the lines of a Firewatch. For the kayaking sections (which is what we'd focus on in AF), I was thinking we'd use the left and right triggers to control paddles like you would a kayak. So paddling on the right turns left and paddling on the left turns right, with a current slowly pulling you forward. For VR, it would be the same, but with motion controllers! And yes Cheese, kayaking/hiking and generally exploring outdoors is one of my favorite things. I make numerous trips a year up north to the Russian River area, which is goooooooorgeous. Always imagined it would take inspiration from that (and would want to take my team up there for a day)!
  6. Day of the Devs 2016 - Nov 5th!

YESSSS, please come y'all! Look at all these rad games!!
  7. Woooooo purty new forums! Spaff for the win!
  8. Hey guys, sorry for the delay it's been crazy busy with the campaign and holidays coming up. To those asking about the ability to upgrade pledge without canceling and starting over, Fig is working on that functionality. In fact today they added the ability to select more add-ons after you've already pledged. We're hopeful they can also get bundle upgrades in before the end of the campaign, but aren't sure on that timeline. until then you can always cancel your bid and select a new tier from scratch. As for another key, we'll talk it over, but you can always create an account for your friend and back at the $40 tier in the meantime. Thanks y'all!
  9. Whoa, hexipal cake?!

We got that made at a place called Noe Valley bakery in SF!
  10. Broken age sales numbers ?

We don't get a really great grasp on sales numbers across the board until around a month out, but we're really pleased with how it's doing! PlayStation and iOS sales were particularly strong at Act 2 launch! Hoping to eventually share a bit more insight into how sales have gone down the road once things have settled out. And hoping to keep getting those nice features and good reviews!!
  11. It starts by playing that cutscene again and then should go right into the Act 2 content!
  12. How is this so close? Vertical is obviously the correct choice.
  13. Project Update 25: 3/26/15

Reposting from the backer forums for non-backers Greetings dearest backers! As many of you will have seen already, we’ve announced that the full Broken Age adventure, Acts 1 & 2 combined, will be coming to PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, Ouya, PS4 and PS Vita on April 28th! (Although PlayStation platform release dates may vary depending on the local store update times) That’s only One. Month. Away. Say Whaaatttt? Exciting times are the times we are now living in! You won’t have to do anything special to get Act 2, it will be added as a free update to Act 1. So if you have it installed already, it should patch in and you’ll be good to go! Cross Save Broken Age also support cross save across many platforms, so if you’ve completed Act 1 on PC, Mac, or Linux, you’d be able to continue your game on your iOS or Android device through Dropbox cloud saves if you so wished. PS4 and PS Vita have their own separate cross save system as well. IGN Act 2 Sneak Peek Last week Tim took Broken Age Act 2 over to the IGN offices (which are handily just around the corner) and sat down with Marty Sliva to play through the first 12 minutes of the game. If you can’t wait any longer to see what’s in store for Shay and Vella, and you don’t mind a few light spoilers (we made sure to hold back all puzzles), then go check out IGN’s 12 minute preview (Warning: again, spoilers). Broken Age Box art, by Cory Schmitz The physical box release for Broken Age is making it’s way through the manufacturing plants as we speak with a classy box art design by our good friend Cory Schmitz. The box will feature a transparent slip case with Shay and Vella on it, which means you can choose who sits at the bottom or the top, and it’s suuuuuuuuuuper purty. Check it out here with the slip case removed... Please note that this is NOT the $100+ backer reward box, which is going to be a whole bunch bigger, and obviously even cooler. That will be based on this design, but we’re waiting for the documentary to wrap up before we start making that, since that will be included. No, this is the physical box that will be for general release. Pillars of Eternity Lastly, our good friends at Obsidian are releasing their crowdfunded game Pillars of Eternity today, and we wanted to give them a big ol’ high five! Made by the same talented folks who made South Park: The Stick of Truth, and Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity launches today on PC, Mac and Linux, go take a look! http://buy.pillarsofeternity.com/ Thanks everyone!
