  1. I believe the correct internet response is: "No, you, good sir."
  2. Inspiration! Imagine a world in which you saved your memories by writing on others bodies. But then the only way you could recover them was to see that piece of skin again... this could push the dirty game industry to new heights!
  3. Please, get in line to shake my hand, no need to rush. I may sign your breast, if you are lucky.
  4. Inspiration! Imagine, everyone you talk to on the internet is actually a lost soul trapped inside your computer, and the only way to bring them to life is to genuinely love them. You would all remain dead. I however, would be saved a thousand times over. Everyone Loves Peter Molyneux.
  5. Wait,What?! I shall rephrase in gamer-speak: game inside player head. play with imagination. headshot. I look forward to the day that games reach the artistic audience they deserve, and game designers no longer have to dumb down their concepts for the masses.
  6. Every time I look at the current selection of games, I feel sad for this industry. Luckily, I know Fable 4 will change everything.
  7. Lol, if it's peter, he is going to promise the game will be based around sporks, but when it comes out it will instead be about tongs. What everyone failed to realize is that the tong is a superior evolution of a spork -- the change was necessary to improve the emotional elements of our design. You know what? I want to know how you will defend your worst design choice ever. The menu system from Fable 3! :bug: I, too, wish to know why you would unleash that monstrosity on your fans. >B^[ Art. The life of a king is not easy, so why should his menus be? This is why I am paid in pounds of pounds. So then, if you love it so much, why are you going to get rid of it in the next game? Players were not prepared or capable of understanding that particular artistic innovation. I respected them too highly, I see.

  10. This list is wrong. Rightfully, I should be at the top of the list.
  11. I was both people. The one answer you would never guess; that is why I am the most brilliant game designer -- I can surprise you.
  12. I am not dead, so how could I possess? ...Imagine if, instead of the dead possessing the living, the living possessed the dead? Those in the afterlife would be subject to the whims of the living without any control... I want to see a zombie game where the zombies cry over the death of their fellow undead, and the player is made aware that they are massacring an entire species.
  13. I shall be continuing to grace you with my presence while I gather ideas for my next game, Forum. Imagine -- a game unlike anything the gaming world has ever seen before... a hyper-realistic trolling simulation, in which a player can experience the journey from noob to moderator. Posts are created in real time. I expect it to completely replace the real internet in two years.
  14. *takes off Peter Molyneux mask, revealing Peter Molyneux" Here I am, Peter Molyneux. I was disguised as myself, so some of you may not have made the leap.
  15. a giant standing on the shoulders of midgets still owns most of his height
  16. i am Peter Molyneux. as gamers, I suppose you should already know who I am, but i'm the head of lionhead, one of the most important companies in the modern industry. I created important games like The Entrepreneur, a game so innovative the era could not handle it, so I made it again in Fable II I humbly ask that you accept the wisdom I have to share with you. in addition, your eccentric posts may help inspire my creative process, in a non-legally binding matter.
  17. my first computer game was pong. I believe you can see the philosophical influence it had on me in my more recent games.
  18. bugs are just a consumer term for meta-game experiences. as designers, we know that they are features meant to remind you that you are in a created world -- that you should enjoy them before they are taken away from you.
  19. your forum morality meter will reflect the decisions you make here.
  20. Actually, you are both wrong. Psychonauts 2 has been out for a while, as those of us in the industry know. The over-excitement and subsequent dissuasion for Psychonauts 2 is actually the game itself. Imagine -- Psychonauts was a game about the human mind, so the natural progression of that idea was to bypass the console itself and create the gameplay directly inside the players head. By keeping fans waiting, you all become incubators for your own dreams about the game, playing out the game inside your head and creating for each of you a truly unique interactive experience, just as Tim intended. I suggested all of this to Tim over coffee, and I'm sure he took it to heart, so you can take my word to it. Psychonauts 2 is no Fable 2, but i am still proud of my contribution. ...The only problem is we haven't figured out how to monetize this unique design yet. I suggested charging per thought, but Tim didn't seem to like that idea for some reason. So you guys are getting to play the game absolutely free, you wankers.
  21. I liked the moral choice of choosing to listen to the song or not -- if I continue listening, as I did, then it ends with Pinkamina killing the other ponies. I'm not sure what would happen if I stopped listening. Pinkamina would have probably killed my family. Having to choose between my kin and a fictional world was very difficult, I feel Halo could learn from this.
  22. Imagine if a morality meter was implemented on this forum, and each post changed your stat... the question is where each of you would wind up.
  23. I suppose I shall participate in these challenges. 1. What Double Fine character (from any of their games) do you most relate to and why? edger. he strives to be innovative and understands the value of abstraction, but is also burdened by mistakes from his past... oh, Fable III, oh, how you have haunted me. 2. My favorite subject or class in school was/is _______ because ________ mythology, because I used to dream of being stalked by minotaurs in a maze -- I believe it was a metaphore for the creative process. 3. 3 of my favorite movies would include: _______, _______, and ________ (doesn’t have to be your top 3, just 3 of your top movies) I don't watch movies... they are an inferior art form 4. One of my favorite books would have to be _________ I don't read books for the same reason 5. When no one is around I like to __________ create wonderful gameplay innovations
  24. I don't think he's saying that Bastion is made by Double Fine, guys. Rather that he's talking about his experiences with: - Double Fine games - some other, more recent video games which aren't made by Double Fine (e.g. Bastion) as two separate things. This is the correct parsing of that sentence, although the wording clearly could have been clearer. =P
