  1. That's exactly what I mean, yes. Only there's a bit of a difference between Telltale and DF. The first doesn't have any obligation to release the next episode. DF is putting itself in a no exit situation and will have to develop and release the second half of the game no matter what happens. Also, maybe I missed it, but I'm wondering how the boxed versions going to be handled. Are we getting half of the game at release, and the second part of the game as a DL content?
  2. Everybody always says this, but I think it's utterly unfounded. The number of people who would back a project based solely on the genre and developer are surely a tiny fraction of the potential audience. Every game that has released from KS has sold far more after release than the initial backers. Most recently, Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded (another 2D adventure game) released and sold 250,000 copies in a week. Broken Age will sell far more than that. Exactly! Like I said earlier, most people would have assumed that a big budget turn based strategy game wouldn't sell either but then XCOM happened. Yes, but LSLR released a full game, not half of it with a promise of releasing the second half at some point in the future, provided that they sell enough copies of the first half. It's a numbers games, and DF is betting a LOT on this. If this doesn't work out, DF will be in some serious trouble.
  3. 32 (my button ), followed by 23, 9, 36, and 26.
  4. This was one of the big reasons for split-shipping the rewards. It would take a huge box full of packing peanuts in order to hold both a poster and a game box at the same time. This would substantially slow down the shipping process, and the weight of each package (not to mention the additional cost of materials) would send the cost of postage way up. Yeah, that's what I thought too. It's a win/win situation for both parties.
  5. What if... it's all just one world. This "alien world" is a living organism, so what if... what IF that "world" was actually the monster from the girl's world. This alien (monster/planet) is powered by cookies, puppies and human flesh. Hence, the sacrifice from the girl's world. The boy living in this alien world is a sole survival of the sacrifice (they didn't do a good job killing him), and is now trapped and trying to get out. They are brother and sister, and at the time, the girl doesn't know that her little brother is still alive. At the same time however, she doesn't want there to be any more sacrifices so is trying to kill the monster. But killing the monster will also kill her brother. Untimely, she will face the decision of either killing the monster, and thus killing her own brother, or "sacrificing" herself to live with and take care of her brother inside of the monster (no way out for her brother to escape!), which leads to the destruction of her village.
  6. You found my favorite!!! Woo! Awesome! I have no idea what to do with it though. Buttons aren't something I usually own. Suggestions, anyone? Got a should bag or a backpack?
  7. It's here! new button? Looks a lot like #18, but has different colors.
  8. Woot, mine has just been shipped! Got my e-mail today Same. FWIW, I also ordered a medium shirt.
  9. I wouldn't mind going back to SF. I was there twice already, and each time it was to meet with the game devs. Lucky me, I guess. As a matter of fact, my second visit was "like" a game con. Tour of the office, meeting everyone, and getting to play the pre-alpha version of the game. Oh.. and we got a ton of goodies Never mind that the entire event was paid for by EA (including air fare, hotel, food, etc.) ;D Good times.

  11. So, who is this Brad guy, and why is he doing all the work? Thanks for the update!
  12. ^Doesn't that go against your idea from the previous page, though? So with this idea, you have to: -find the target (continue) -click it -find the game you want to continue -click it -confirm (optional). And you still haven't answered me how is this mechanic different from "Load" feature. Because the way you describe it, it's the same thing.
  13. I hate to nitpick, but isn't that what you get after clicking on "load"? Sounds like you're trying to reinvent the wheel.
  14. - Ice Level - Dark side of the moon (I was watching Iron Sky last night, lol) - Gummy bear world - Make that any Gummy Animal world - S'more Volcano (dangerously delicious)
