  1. I think this just shows how hard not having Asif available has been for 2PP as they are a very small team that are used to working together a lot so it was always going to be difficult for someone coming in from the outside to get up to speed with how things operate especially in a compressed time thing such as Amnesia Fortnight. I too get the feeling of not being of being fully engaged by this years AF but I don't think the videos are the sole reason, as forum interaction is down a lot compared to previous AFs. Maybe it's the lack of regular streaming but I can understand why the people at Double Fine are happier without it. I guess it's about trying to find a balancing, if that's possible at all.
  2. I'm Dan, wannabe programmer. Studying for a master's in game design at the moment which is unfortunately quite distracting at the moment so I don't know how much I'll be able to help during the rest of the fortnight but if the project goes on beyond that time frame, I'll be able and eager to help as much as I can. I don't have much experience of game dev outside of stuff I've done at uni over the past few years so this sort of experience would be invaluable for me and I really like the idea. I have a portfolio of my work at as well some game prototypes at (things I've worked on in the past few months).
  3. I wanted to be able to help out with the programming for this project but unfortunately my uni work has been taking up most of my time so I've not been able to take a good look at what has been happening yet and I don't know if I'll have much chance before the end of the fortnight, as it'll depend how soon I'll be prepared for the assessed pitch I have to do next Thursday (not to mention work on an essay which is due a week after that). I'll try to help as best I can within the AF time frame.
  4. I'm enjoying Star Trek: The Next Conversation a lot, an irreverent look at the episodes of TNG through the eyes of Matt Mira (the fan) and Andrew Secunda (the skeptic).
  5. Hi, I'm Dan. I go by 'corruptbiggins' pretty much everywhere on the internet, though on some places like GitHub I use 'danstokoe'. I'm UK based, in London, and a current MA student (Digital Games: Theory & Design) which is taking up most of my time but I would like to try and collaborate on something - programming is my focus, and I would like to help in that capacity as much as I can. You can check out some of the stuff I've done on my masters course at if anyone is curious. I'm excited to try and be involved in a collaborative project like this as most of my game design experience has been in single player mode and that will need to change if I want to make it in the development world. I should also mention that I have a bit of experience in using Unity and am fairly comfortable in coding in C#, some of my previous work is on my GitHub page (
  6. I'd be interested in trying to do something for this, as it kind of relates to what I'm working on at the moment anyway. Though unfamiliar with the proposed engine I'd give it ago - I like the idea of creating independent scenes and stitching them together somehow.
  7. Yeah, you get it through the Leap Motion app store (and it's free):
  8. Hey guys, I just thought I'd share one of the prototype games I've made during my master's degree studies. It's very short and experimental, just trying out an idea which seemed to go over well in class. I'm sharing this one because I feel it is the most intriguing out of the things I've made this year. Will probably share more of what I've done as I'm building up my portfolio over the next month or so.
  9. These are very cool ideas. I would like to help out if I can but I have my own game to work on for a university assessment due at the end of the month so it'll have to be time permitting.
  10. I've been playing Underrail a lot, over 60 hours now which isn't bad for a game I had never even heard of until I got it free from backing Wasteland 3. This and Shadowrun: Dragonfall have already made backing Wasteland 3 worth it without even getting the game I backed for yet! I'm also playing Torment: Tides of Numenera so am really getting my RPG on at the moment.
  11. Thanks for reporting those pesky spammers!

Not a problem, glad to help out.

  12. Those of you who enjoyed Christopher Bischoff & The Brotherhood's STASIS may like to know that they've launched a Kickstarter for their next game, a point and click adventure set in a post apocalyptic Africa -
  13. So I'm trying to expand my tiny social circle by trying out a Meetup gaming event locally to me on Sunday. Already nervous about going to it but I do really need to try stuff like this.
  14. I broke up with my girlfriend a couple of days ago. It was pretty much a mutual thing, her illness is preventing the relationship being what it can be and she didn't want me to hang around waiting and being unhappy as it's likely that it's not going to get any better. I'll feel bad that it had to come to this but we did try to make the best of a really crappy situation and there's no point prolonging things if it'll just make it worse for both of us. I still want to keep in touch with her as much as she can manage and I'll always care for her, as much as that is worth.
