  1. Seems to be this one http://www.google.pl/search?hl=pl&q=OttLite+Natural+Daylight+Desk+Lamp&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&bpcl=39650382&biw=1366&bih=634&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=7WnDUJPBJ4rrswbwhYDIDg
  2. There was a discussion with Levering_2pp about downloading DFA episodes to watch it on a TV. It might be interesting for you http://www.doublefine.com/forums/viewthread/6781/
  3. I would like to point out that you are also not DF Allison. Or are you..? Wait a minute... Quick! Say "StrĨ prst skrz krk"!

  5. When Tim was talking directly to the microphone it felt like he gave us all a kiss :]
  6. 1. Create an amara account (you already did that) 2. 2PP guys will add you to the team and give you permission to watch the episodes (might take few days) 3. Watch the episodes here http://www.doublefine.com/forums/viewthread/7657/ or on the website of amara http://www.universalsubtitles.org/teams/2playerproductions/ and choose the language version you like (I propose Polish, it is the best)
  7. In my case the problems with access started when I tried to change the timing of the first episode. Now I logged to amara for the first time since 2 or 3 weeks and the problem is a bit different, it seems I'm not allowed to change anything because everything is "privately moderated" (I don't even see a button "improve these subtitles" anymore). As a bonus, amara crashed my browser 3 times :] Do you think our problems are similar? If so, then it is not related with your twitter authentication. I also don't think creating multiple accounts is a good solution but I guess currently we don't have any better ideas.
  8. The title of the game is "Grim Fandango". The point I'm trying to make is that you spend what looks like the first half of the game without dancing. And the next portion of the game not dancing still. Any puzzle or cutscene that doesn't contribute to the theme of dancing a lively Spanish dance in a morbid fashion is already working against the major premise of the game. I'm not anti-puzzles, and I'm not anti-adventure games. But let's have more puzzles where the solutions involve you dancing a fandango. Dance dance revolution is about dancing around on the floor and sparking a revolution. (Yes - and so much more!) You don't spend the first half of that game looking for a dancefloor, and then the next half writing a manifesto. It's an appropriate and atmospheric opening scene and then BOOM you're playing the game. As advertised. That's the main point I was trying to make.
  9. I'll try to find out from our person there what the deal is with that. Thank you!
  10. Sorry to interrupt, but I have a technical note. Apart from private messages in Amara (go to someone profile, send a message) you can also leave a comment for the certain language subtitles: go to episode 1, view particular subtitles, go to "comment" tab and write. This should be visible to everyone interested and I'm guessing the followers will get an email. I suppose this feature is there to discuss between multiple contributors but I'm not sure if it's very handy. Maybe it's better to start a thread here in the forum..? The other useful thing is to check the "revisions" (next to comments) to compare 2 versions but I don't see any way of communication there (like commenting a particular line or word). The fact is I don't know what happens when an edit war starts. I am not sure if the admins can settle a dispute about Polish syntax or, even worse, personal taste. I also don't see any revert button so I guess it can be dangerous.
  11. You are right it takes time but I think it is a matter of organisation. I understand there is no hurry and we can do two lines per day during a coffee break if we like. Oh yes, you reminded me. Next time I will make rough translation --> change timing --> polish the Polish. Changing the timing in the last step is a bit counterproductive.
  12. I tried to change the timing of the Polish subtitles for the 1st episode. What I did was to go to "improve these subtlitles" and then "Convert to Timed Subtitles (advanced)". With the tools there we can change the timing and to add or remove captions. What I did with some of the captions that were flashing for only one second was to remove it and paste into the text directly before or after. This way you have more text on the screen at once (but still, I limit it to no more than 2 lines) but you also have more time to read it. For example the original Floating Dots part in English is 15 captions starting between 8:53 and 9:35 and I changed it to 11 captions between 8:52 and 9:35. I hope it will be better to read. The drawback is that it seems I can't modify these subtitles anymore :] It tells me "Sorry, these subtitles are privately moderated". Ep 2 where I didn't change the timing is still accessible so I guess it is not the Wrath of Paul banning me from Amara
  13. The only puzzles I can think of is all the administrative stuff. My life is dull, I know. Every time it is something like this: To get a B-17 form bring a yellow paper from room 223a (do not confuse it with 223b in the other building). Yellow paper will be granted after showing the photocopies of 7 various documents hidden around your apartment (yes, the birth certificate is buried in the garden). The only photocopier in the area is out of order and you are working against the clock because the office is closing in one hour. The solution is to either come with a small baby to distract the office workers and steal the yellow paper (maybe I can dress up a doll?) or to bribe them with chocolates (which is basically a cheat code).
