  1. Psychonauts quits immediately upon launch

I've just encountered this same problem, on a 2011 Macbook running Mavericks. I started replaying Psychonauts (bought from the App Store) a few weeks ago and it was working fine. Then I tried to start it up again this morning and it just instantly keeps crashing. I updated it, but it's still crashing. Any news of a fix? EDIT: It seems to be working again today. Weird.
  2. Happy for you guys to share the documentary for free, though I'd suggest releasing a shortened version to the public, and maybe figuring out some way of getting people to pay for the full version, so that both backers and payers get more. A shorter version would also be beneficial because people who aren't already fully in support of Broken Age/Double Fine are more likely to watch something that isn't several hours long.
  3. I've encountered the same problem. Not just at the cloud colony, but also at the talking tree scene, it took me a lot of clicks before I was able to open the inventory without automatically moving Vella back to the lumberjack screen. Very frustrating. Macbook OSX 10.9.1, 1280 x 800 resolution, window mode.
  4. Poll: How difficult was the game for you?

Vella's part was more challenging than Shay's, but still easy compared to the games of old, which is why I selected the 'difficult but not enough' option. I hope Act 2 will provide more of a challenge, but I would still have backed just for Act 1 given how awesome the videos and everything have been so far.
  5. As a writer, I would totally get something like this. As it stands, Tim's post is worth gold for writers in any genre, and myself as a backer in general.
  6. Costume Quest Crashing [MAC]

I've downloaded Costume Quest through the humble bundle, DRM-free. I get to the start screen, but as soon as I press an empty save game slot the loading screen comes up for a second and then the whole thing crashes. Doesn't matter if I turn all the advanced settings off. Tried getting the game through Steam as well to see if that would help, but I get exactly the same problem. I'm on a Macbook Pro with Lion.
  7. Any chance for us Mac Gamers?

It's here! It's here! http://www.humblebundle.com Thank you Double Fine!
  8. Mac issues

On a macbook pro playing through steam, the game worked fine yesterday but today it started to work worse and worse, turned off all visual options to try and fix it, then the sound went out, then the whole thing just crashed completely. Don't know why it wouldn't work now as I've already had a whole play through before but with different characters. Maybe the scientist and monk levels take more power to run? Anyway, just reporting the problem.
  9. I know it's a typo but I quite like the implication of "World's Apart" (as opposed to Worlds Apart) though I voted for the latter.
  10. I voted for Small Offerings with my own suggestion, but after reading this thread I much prefer the titles "Worlds Apart" and "Anywhere Else".
  11. Disappointment with Knight + Time Traveler

Ah man, I was just about to try that. You're right, I also believed that should've given an alternative ending somehow.
  12. Looks great guys, especially the control room, and the dialogue tree scene was very funny. You do realise you are already setting the standard for in-game funniness, right? Expectations are growing ;-) Thanks for the update and keep up the good work =)
  13. Thanks so much for this, great insight into DOTT, can't wait for the next instalment. Dialogue trees - please keep them, especially as has been said because the writing is going to be good. Verbs - though there could be a better way of implementing them, I'd like to see verbs in the new game. But then I like the more leisurely pace that comes with them, and I don't know if the general gaming population these days still has that patience.
  14. Wow, it looks great, loving the in-depth camera panning and the idea of using it in-game for clues/hidden items etc. Thanks for the update! Very glad to see so much detail about the process being shared, wasn't expecting quite so much.
  15. Hahaha well played, good sir/ma'am!
