  1. Thanks for the update. I was wondering what was going on or if my rewards got shipped to the wrong address.
  2. I can't believe how close this poll still is. I thought that one would have pulled away from the other by now.
  3. I voted for horizontal only because Tim said that it will look better for the art of the game. Although vertical would look better sitting on a shelf.
  4. This was really interesting presentation. Since I had no idea how dialogue systems work in videogames I learned a lot. As a programmer myself I can appreciate how much work goes into maintaining a custom internal system for managing all of the dialogue. It was also awesome to see how the design process goes from written dialogue to scratch used in cutscenes to the final version. I've said this before on this forum and still very much feel like for me the backer material has more than made up for my initial donation to the project; being able to play the game is just a bonus. Keep up the great material here!
  5. I agree that a Bagel sidequest would be great. I'm with you in that I'm also really enjoying the sidequests. I still cannot believe how much content you guys are delivering for us backers. Keep up the great work!
  6. Thank you so much for reposting this! I missed it the first time and am very glad to have seen it just now for the first time. Khris is amazing at her work. The voice acting in BA is top notch. I agree with her 100% that a great story and great voice acting and/or motion capture make a game much more immersive. For me I really enjoy playing games that are very story driven, almost more so than games that have great action sequences or gameplay.
  7. Maybe this question is better suited for the producers, but how much of the budget for Broken Age is going towards your awesome animation work?
  8. Cool! The Grubbins On Ice DLC is perfect to play this time of year. I liked how the simple addition of snow really changed the look and feel of the game.
  9. Wow, what a fantastic sidequest. Peter is very talented. I can't wait to play the game and then when I hear the music, I'll think back to this video of him talking about composing it. Also, this video really shows how much the perfect score can add to a scene in film or games. It's great to hear him talk about that. I'm getting excited to play the game next year! Thanks for the amazing backer updates. They're well worth my time and the money I paid to back the game. I enjoy every minute of them.
  10. Wow, that show looks like it would be really cool. I'll have to subscribe to the podcast. Also, thanks Camden for the great post. I'm a little bit late to the party, but I really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing. The amount of content that I'm getting as being a backer is way more than I expected. Keep up the great work everybody at Double Fine.
  11. Great post Lydia. I knew that you were using Photoshop from previous documentaries, but I had no idea that it was being used with all of these scripts. Thanks for sharing! I never would have guessed that Photoshop would be used for game development. The things that I'm learning from the documentary episodes and reading the posts has more than given me my money's worth for backing and I haven't even played the game yet.
  12. Awesome post Tim. Thanks for sharing how you go about writing a character and giving some examples from the games. It would be great to see these character sheets for all of the characters included with the bonus material for Broken Age. I am loving all of the detailed information you guys are sharing with us as backers. This is way better and way more than I thought we would get. Keep it up!
  13. That was one of the funniest parts of the video. Tim cracks me up. I'm glad that 2PP put that in there.
  14. I'm really enjoying the documentaries! They are way more detailed than what I thought they would be when I signed up as a backer. Great work on those and on the game! I just was wondering, why are there no episode notes this time? I really enjoyed reading the notes as I watched each episode in the past.
  15. This is really cool to see the concept art and the different styles of each of the artists. Thanks so much for posting! I'm really enjoying all of the updates for Reds.
