  1. Considering how hard the game was bashing you over the head with clues continuously in almost every piece of dialogue, I didn't need a guide at any point.
  2. The art, the voices, and the music was fantastic. The story I'll wait until it's finished to emit a judgement. The gameplay (puzzles) disappointingly, embarrasingly simple. I desperately wanted a dedicated "examine" button.
  3. I really, really, really, missed the option to have an "examine" button to accompany the "interact" button. I want to be able to hear a description of a thing before using the thing.
  4. I almost felt secondhand embarrasment at the incredibly high amount of bashing clues on your head. I was solving puzzles way before I even discovered them simply because of the absurdly high amount of absurdly obvious clues.
  5. Cut the scope. No, seriously. Cut the scope. Look at Shadowruns Return. It has delivered (mostly) in time, keeping in line with the available budget. You had an amount of money to work with, and now you're scrambling for pennies because you couldn't keep within it. As much as I want the game to be good (and I put a three number figure in backing, so you know I really want it to be good), going overbudget and risking the entire game - at this point, if Steam Early Release doesn't go well, we don't get the second half of the game - because Tim is unable to cut the scope is doing more harm than good to the project. So, in short: Cut the scope.
  6. Got mine as well today (Spain). The T-shirt fits nicely, the poster arrived inmaculate. But why, oh why, did my pin had to have the french flag as background? It ruined an otherwise perfect day.
  7. This two worlds will interact via the Higgs Boson. The "swap character" button will be the Large Hadron Collider.
  8. As a recent addition to The Cave team, I won't tolerate any of that here! Traitor!!!!!! Get him! Chris is a spy. (It's a secret to everybody) (It had to be done. I apologize)

  10. I understand that by "Pixel hunting" what people mean is actually trying to find interactive, necessary items that have the screen presence of literally one or two pixels, thus requiring the player to sloooooowly mouse over the entire screen to find it. That, I believe we can all agree, is extremely annoying and obvious fake difficulty, added only because the actual puzzle wasn't ingenious enough. As long as the item/interactive surface/what have you is actually visible in the screen and not hidden in one-two pixel surfaces, there shouldn't be the need to highlight everything.

  12. Considering all backer digital distribution is done through Steam, I don't think exclusivity to Origin will be an issue.
  13. I'm a backer because I miss old school scumm-based point'n'click adventures, and want to play a new one.
