  1. You seem to be correct. The new fullscreen API isn't up for inclusion until v12. (http://www.caniuse.com/fullscreen) The way Youtube is doing it is to set the display area to the size of the browser window, and then you can press F11 if you want to remove the borders.
  2. Quite. That button does not appear if you run Opera though. Doesn't surprise me. I quit using Opera because it was too flakey with too many sites. It can be that. It's usually something along the line of [pre] switch(browserid) { case "mozilla": case "webkit": case "ie": return "Something sane"; break; default: return "Dunno what to do"; } [/pre]

  4. Confirmed. At least there is no full-screen button. I don't know if there is supposed to be one. While I don't have Opera I'm guessing this is because it's not a flash player and it's restricted to the window in which it resides. Chrome switches automatically to a UI-less fullscreen mode when you press the Expand button on the player, and I guess Opera does not. Try pressing expand, then F11. I'd be interested to know if that solves it. The thing is there is no "expand button". Full screen video with HTML5 in itself is not a problem in Opera, it works on Youtube.

  6. Seems to work well enough with Opera/Windows 7. Edit: But there is no full-screen button. So consider that a bug report. In the choise between flash and no full-screen I'm going to choose no flash though.
  7. Obvious move by EA to try and draw in the crowd that they can upsell to always online AAA titles. I installed Origin on a throw-away OS installation to see if it's something I could live with. Sadly the intrusive nature of the client/store made me conclude that I couldn't. So no Mass Effect 3 for me. T_T
  8. Hmm. Simon is good, but BaSS I do belive is my favourite here.
  9. What if it Sucks?

I paid to be entertained with semi-regular videos. A game, never mind a good game, would be pure gravy.
