Eventually that movie you your friends dropped $20 a ticket on airs on TV for free, and the only thing that happens to pieces that don't get shown is that they get forgotten. The point of this documentary was to educate people on the process and it can't do that locked the the backers-forum. If 2Player is OK with this (because their work is well worth spending money on) I say go for it.

My request for Grim Fandango Remastered
PassPose replied to ThunderPeel's topic in Grim Fandango Remastered
I have to say, I disagree. You know I looked at the game again and I have to say your wrong about the hands. There isn't any actual difference in the models used in the game-engine or cut-scenes. Celso Flores always has higher poly hands, in-game too. I guess because they knew there were some close up shots for the cut scenes. Where Manny always has the lower poly hands. I know on the box-art Manny has higher resolution hands but never in the game. I think you have already showed why it's opening a "huge can of worms" to mess with the game models. I mean where do you stop? You like higher poly hand, so do I. But you also liked adding more resolution to every model to make them look very rounded. Which I felt ruined the aesthetics of the models and accentuated the fact that the models are made up of multiple pieces. So who's right? I think the team has a solid plan: touch up the game but, don't try to change it. I wish you the best of luck with your mod but I think the guys at Double Fine are right not to change the models. -
Grim Fandango remaster - how much change from the original?
PassPose replied to Juanique's topic in Grim Fandango Remastered
Ok what do I have to do to get my hands on that hard-drive Brandon showed that has all of Peter Chan's art work? I would love to have high res copies of so many of those pieces. Like the one in Calavera Café with Manny and Glottis. -
I wonder if we'll get some kind of "The Art of Grim Fandango"/"making of" book out of this? or did double fine just get the rights to the game?

German dub for Grim Fandango Remastered please!
PassPose replied to Quinn's topic in Grim Fandango Remastered
I can't imagine that they'll change and voice acting or story in any region. We'll just have to wait and see how much of a graphical overall it gets. -
I had the Sony press conference playing in the background but when I heard this I ran to my computer the just threw up my arm in excitement. I really hope that this comes to PC but it's just so good to see this game get some love. Can't wait for some screens and the release date but, this still gave me the biggest smile of anything I've heard out of E3 so far.

Can you change Fullscreen resolution?
PassPose replied to PassPose's topic in Amnesia Fortnight 2014 Discussion
Thanks playing windowed is fine but i'm having some trouble getting it to work. do I just add "forcewindowed" to the User config file or is it something like "forcewindowed = true"? -
Can you change Fullscreen resolution?
PassPose replied to PassPose's topic in Amnesia Fortnight 2014 Discussion
I seems like the prototypes all want to run in full screen. That's cool but they also try to run at the monitors default resolution. For me that's 2560 x 1440 and it's killing the frame rate. Is there a way to change this? I'm OK altering some code if I have to but i don't know where to look (or if it's possible). Also how do you run in windowed mode? Thanks for any help. -
Can you change Fullscreen resolution?

Wonderful! I'll give it a try. (worse case scenario I can always drop the resolution of my monitor down.) Thanks again. -
Not to be a downer but this annoys me, this is what is known as copy fraud, ideas and game mechanics are not copyright able. Only the expression of an idea is copyrightable. Even if that we're not the case, the U.S doesn't entirely adhere to relevant treaties, so unless you register the copyright you are only entitled to actual damages (which would be what on 30 second pitch?). As far as the name, I've searched no record of a trademark application for Bad Golf attributable to anyone from DF. Asking permission seems to have been more about respect than any matter of law. I have to admit I'm on phogan side here. Double Fine can't be going around saying that "the ideas are copyrighted," they have no legal grounds to say that. The name "Bad Golf"/"Bad Golf 2" could be something they could claim as a trademark as well as any art, character design etc... created, but not the idea. There's already so much bad copyright info around the web we don't need to coming from studios. On a happier note I just checked out this project for the first time and I'm blown away way, I can't wait to see what you come up with.

It's February so here's hoping the next AF is coming soon. -
Not to mention if you plan be around these forums and watch the documentary you're bound to get something spoiled; and that's the worst. So go a head and play.

Was your name in the credits at the end??
PassPose replied to ThunderPeel's topic in DFA: Discussion and Feedback
Did you know you can use the mouse wheel or arrow keys to speed-up or slow-down the credits? That should help you find your name.
