  1. GROUND MOUTH

I couldn't find him during the day but after potatoes it's kind of obvious where he is.
  2. Mnemonic Feedback

You guys all nailed the combination of adventure game mechanics but with the dream like logic and making memory connections instead of just "put this item here." I actually felt like I was moving through someone's subconscious. The lighting was amazing in particular. I'd love to see a longer story done in this way with more puzzles to play around in (I actually thought Brad's jokey idea of a clock on a wall that you put your arm next to which turns it into a watch was super cool). I'm a sucker for that dreamy ambiance.
  3. Suggestion and Feedback Thread

Off to a really great start. The amount of detail and fullness/replayability to the game after 2 weeks is mind boggling. The art is perfect and I absolutely LOVE the writing and mechanics. I love the idea of getting to really dive into more options and events, spending more time in each era. Great job to the whole team, was so much fun to watch this develop.
  4. Steed Official Feedback Thread

Gorgeous. Very fun to brawl and I think you got the mechanics of "you are the Horse" down perfect. A lot of fun to just explore the world and find easter eggs. I like the idea of having some open world aspects to a full version of this game. Just being a horse, running around, helping other heroes on their quests, before diving back into the main arc. Similar to how I played Elder Scrolls IV.
  5. LPBB Feedback

Well I finished it and love it! It is totally bonkers and unique. It's buggy at times sure but the idea of something like this but longer and with a full story like this for every buddy is...well I would freak out. This was a great year for AF. Literally every game is one I hope gets full developed. I laughed for about 10 minutes straight at the final moments.
  6. GROUND MOUTH

Oh god why did I look at this right before bed lol.
  7. LPBB Feedback

Trying to not reveal spoilers and not get spoiled on anything. I get into the house, Big Leg and I chat, then stuff starts happening. I don't know what to do at this point! I just get stabbed each time. I've tried a bunch of stuff but it goes *SPOILERS* they are yelling, Big Leg tells met to leave, I can't do anything, house explodes, stabbed. Is this the end? It's hilarious if so but I thought there was a bit more from hearing the Double Finers play it.
  8. The Dreaded Black Screen

Hello All, Earlier today I decided to finally buy Iron Brigade and give it a shot. I was pretty excited to start it up. I came across the issue where it opens up to a black screen. No cursor, no sound, no nothing. I let it sit for quite awhile to see if it would eventually start it up but it became very clear that it would not. I did everything I could think of (ran the installs of the programs that steam installs manually, made sure it was opening with my Nvida card and not "integrated intel graphics") but am stumped. I'm not super techy so some of the other solutions I have seen were not things I knew how to implement. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. This is the first time with this year old or so computer that I've had an issue with a game. They've all run smooth, which has made me really happy because I almost always had some sort of problem going on with all my games.
  9. Black Screen Issue

Hello All, Earlier today I purchased Stacking on Steam. I came across the issue where it opens up to a black screen. No cursor, no sound, no nothing. I let it sit for quite awhile to see if it would eventually start it up but it became very clear that it would not. They've all run smooth, which has made me really happy because I almost always had some sort of problem going on with all my games. I posted basically the same post over at the Iron Brigade forums because I am having the same problem with both games.
  10. Black Screen Issue

Got it! Just used the verify Game Cache feature within Steam, apparently some aspects weren't valid (despite deleting and reinstalling it a few times) and now it runs like a charm! Thanks for your help!
  11. The Dreaded Black Screen

Ah! Fixed it. Deleting and reinstalling didn't work but "Verifying the local game cache" under properties did discover some missing files that Steam then redownloaded! Now it works great.
  12. Black Screen Issue

Update: Just went through the long process of updating the video drivers, didn't help.
  13. The Dreaded Black Screen

Yeah I'm debating just getting it from Xbox but I'm gonna try a few more things before buying it twice haha. Then again I'd just be supporting Double Fine so I don't mind that.
  14. Black Screen Issue

Running Windows 8 (unfortunately), the video card is an Nvidia Geforce 635M. I am pretty sure I have up to date video drivers but I will double check right now.
  15. Musik et cetera

That is the greatest high five ever! I'm actually a big fan of Kanye myself, I don't know about voice of our generation (a term I've always found silly) but I do think he's brilliant.
  16. Musik et cetera

:high five: I really like Bjork! Lately I've been playing the new St. Vinent and Neneh Cherry a hell of a lot. Both are just excellent.
  17. Watched Groundhog Day this morning as the first in my Harold Ramis tribute personal film festival and watched The Savages last night as the last in my Philip Seymour Hoffman tribute personal film festival. Both amazing films that are some of my favorites, for very different reasons. Really wanted to see The Past in theaters last weekend but alas it left the theaters in Philly before I got a chance.

  19. To All The Game Teams

Figured it might be silly to go into each subforum but I just wanted to thank every team for their work. I was expecting that I might love one or two games, like a couple others and be meh on another one or two. Well I love all of them. They all work great as little stand alone things but I would definitely buy each and every one of them as a full game. They all fulfill different loves of mine (hacking and zelda cartoony stuff, SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE and sim stuff, folktales and atmosphere and creepiness, Ico style poetic games and platforming elements, 80s futuristic stuff and sandboxy games, holy crap!) not to mention that all of them have absolutely gorgeous art and awesome music in very different ways. So yeah, absolutely great job to all the teams. I don't know if it's silly to say but I would kickstarter the heck out of a project to get them all made as full games. I hope you do Amnesia Fornight like this again next year! It was fun watching the progress on the boards and in the episodes and it's great to vote and participate in the prototypes. Plus, raising money for charity and your company is always a great thing.
  20. Kickstarter Project Collection Thread

posted these over in my own thread before realizing there was already a sticky thread devoted to Kickstarters. D'oh! sorry. Anyway, both of these are great seeming, ending soon and neither have reached their amount yet (one is basically a real world videogame). http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gutefabrik/sportsfriends-featuring-johann-sebastian-joust http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/shauninman/retro-game-crunch-six-games-in-six-months
  21. Edit: Woops, didn't see that there was already a thread for stuff like this. Moved the two links over to that collection thread.
  22. Early Music

Love it! Always happy with a synthy Carpetner-y vibe for my space stuff, haha.
  23. Why Are You A Backer?

Heh, I always dream about having the money to fund all the media I want to see released. Like Megan Ellison seems to be doing with film.
  24. Why Are You A Backer?

Simple answer for me. I always get really happy when I support things on Kickstarter that I either know will be great or seem interesting. In this case, I'm a huge fan of Double Fine's games and I'm intrigued by getting another old school Point and Click Adventure game. Though I knew I could've just bought the thing when it came out I wanted to be part of what was clearly a huge and cool event and to be a part of the Forums, etc.
  25. Your favorite indie developer?

Jonathan Blow and though they design exclusively for the PS3 Thatgamecompany. I'm sure I'm forgetting some great ones here but those guys make such beautiful art with their games.
