  1. Hello, I'm playing Headlander on a Mac (GOG version) with a DualShock 3 controller, but the game is showing me the Xbox controller icons. Are there any setting files I could edit to get the correct icons to show, like it was possible with Psychonauts? (I already tried adding my DS3 to the SDLGamepad.config, which didn't do anything.)

    End Boss

Firstly, I've REALLY enjoyed headlander, on the whole. It felt exactly as long as it needed to be, with a nice challenge curve, lots of character and lots of options in combat. But I reached the final boss last night and maaan, he's bumming me out. I can deal with the first phase easily and usually the second phase too unless I get unlucky (one of the frustrations has been how easy it is to get killed in a split second, so there's very little scope for any mistakes). But the 3rd one I'm having great problems with. So far I haven't even been able to deactivate the glowy shield. I think the idea is that you're supposed to start using the bodies that come in, but they appear so frequently that it's hard to stay alive in one for very long, and I've found that launching away is pretty much always a risk as that whole area is a risky place for the head to be. I think I'm supposed to be shooting the chest area to deactivate the shield, but I've been trying the method of using detached heads as bombs and it just doesn't seem to have any effect, and everything else seems to end in my violent destruction. I want to finish the game so any advice would be great, but I'm a little sad that something I enjoyed so much for most of the way through is ending on such a frustrating note. I think the problem is that none of the previous tasks have demanded the skills required for this boss, and so I'm feeling inadequately prepared having a hard to just figuring out what the game is expecting me to do.
  3. I usually make these "badges" for people or just for fun, I wanted to explore making one for the release of Head Lander Crits are always welcome of course! You can see other badges here if you want to see where I'm trying to go with this: https://www.behance.net/tiffanyminsal Here are the beginning stages of it forming some more progress
  4. Well, we're starting to see reviews of Headlander, and in general they're pretty positive! Some are a little more muted, with the main criticism being that it can be a little too formulaic for its own good, and doesn't have enough fun with its central premise, but most people have put a pretty positive spin on the game: Positive reviews: http://ca.ign.com/articles/2016/07/25/headlander-review IGN - 8.2 http://www.pcgamer.com/headlander-review/ PC Gamer - 8 http://www.gameinformer.com/games/headlander/b/pc/archive/2016/07/25/headlander-review-an-oddly-engaging-adventure.aspx GameInformer - 7.5 http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/headlander-review/1900-6416484/ Gamespot - 8 http://www.gamesradar.com/headlander-review/ GamesRadar 4/5 http://www.videogamer.com/reviews/headlander_review.html Videogamer - 7 http://www.godisageek.com/reviews/headlander-review/ GodIsAGeek - 90 http://wegotthiscovered.com/gaming/headlander-review/ WeGotThisCovered - 4/5 http://attackofthefanboy.com/reviews/headlander-review/ AttackOfTheFanboy - 4/5 Not As Positive Reviews: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-07-25-headlander-review Eurogamer https://www.destructoid.com/review-headlander-376392.phtml Destructoid - 4.5/10 http://www.shacknews.com/article/95970/headlander-review-heads-or-tails ShackNews - 6
