Minimum Spec worries assuaged.

Recommended Posts

I was worried about playingbecause my PC doesn't meet half of the min.specs.

It is running just fine so far in 1080p.

Maybe a bit of tearing at the start but so far. I'm playing it!

Yay!

Yeah, I just about scraped them and it's running absolutely fine for me. I was worried there, since some of DF's past games have been pretty unoptimised.

I can also verify that, since I'm playing Broken Age on a netbook that doesn't meet the minimum requirements :D

(And it's beautiful!)

I hate to be the guy who posts "where do I find x" on a forum.....but where can I find the minimum specs documented?

They're on the Steam store page.

I'm running it on a Intel® Core™ i7-4500U with 8GB of ram, and it's flawless.

I have installed everything ok but I get no crash, no black screen, just.. nothing.

I can play Grim Fandango and Binding of Isaac just fine. Not tell-tale games (Walking dead). Super Meat Boy works on low resolution. Would be really annoying to have to buy a new computer for a point-and-click-game..

Running on a late 2009 MacBook with OS X 10.9.1 and 8 gigs of RAM, it's flawless. Very pleasantly surprised. I should send Oliver a cookie or something :)

Thanks Steve2911.

My machine doesn't meet the specs and the game won't launch. I see the outline of a main window or a sec and then the window closes.

Kind of angry at myself for getting my hopes up now. What was I thinking?

I just checked the minimum requirements and it says Windows XP and DirectX 10. That can't be right since you can't get DX10 with Windows XP (at least without unofficial hacks).

The GPU requirements are also kinda all over the place. Why would the Windows version need an HD 4870 if the Linux version can run with anything from the HD 2000 series?

"assuaged" is an anagram of "sausaged".

also, runs fine on my 2 year old laptop that is fairly fast but not built for gaming.
