Found a nice Japanese language book called "Let's Learn Kanji" in the charity shop for £4 today. I'm glad I bought it, since it turns out it's pretty expensive to buy online (like £10-20). It's got good reviews too, which surprised me since most charity shop books are kind of junk. (But funny junk)

It's really nicely laid out and breaks everything down into it's base elements and then builds it up over time. Has a ton of exercises and stuff in it too.

The other books in it's series are cheaper online (like £15 for both. Katakana and Hiragana) and I'm half tempted to get those too. Might be a good starting point to learn to read Japanese. (At least be able to get up to a 9 year olds level of skill! Hahaha)

Think of it this way. You see colour and detail where others see black. It's evolution baby!

I refuse to name the color of that dress because I know for a fact that you can never trust the colors coming through your monitor. Even if it's been carefully calibrated, it's only ever going to be in relation to what you calibrate it to.

You got a bright-ass monitor with less of a blue tint? It's gonna look gold and white. You got a dim-butt monitor that's heavy on the blue? It's black and blue. The image we're basing the decision off of is a crap quality photo that adds in all kinds of noise and color to the mix anyways. Put that image and Photoshop and adjust the color levels and it could be any color you want

And it's an ugly dress. Ain't no color combo on this earth that's gonna save it

Okay so it was consistently white and gold, then I scrolled down a bit on a post it was in and it instantly changed to blue and black before fading back to white and gold again.

It doesn't really matter what color the dress is. It's ugly. The ugliness of the pattern and shape make an argument about the color moot.

Also, whoever took that photo is a terrible photographer because they didn't get a good angle on the lighting.
