[Bug] [Linux] Resolution options

Recommended Posts

The game appears to be incorrectly detecting resolutions - from among the choices, I cannot choose 1280x1024 even though it's one of the modes. Here's my xrandr output:

Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 2304 x 1280, maximum 8192 x 8192

DVI-I-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

VGA-0 connected 1024x1280+1280+0 left (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 380mm x 300mm

  1280x1024 60.0 + 75.0*

  1152x864 75.0

  1024x768 75.0 70.1 60.0

  800x600 75.0 72.2 60.3 56.2

  640x480 75.0 72.8 59.9

DVI-I-1 connected primary 1280x1024+0+256 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 380mm x 300mm

  1280x1024 60.0 + 76.0 75.0* 72.0

  1152x864 75.0

  1024x768 75.0 70.1 60.0

  800x600 75.0 72.2 60.3

  640x480 75.0 72.8 59.9

  640x350 70.1

HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

Actually this is expected behavior, since the game will only allow fullscreen resolutions between 4:3 and 16:9.

Pretty sure it's running 1920x1200 i.e. 16:10 here.

4:3 ≤ 16:10 ≤ 16:9, so nothing wrong here.

Good point of course. More pixels, less ratio. Sorry for the lapse.

Oh. So I have to run in an ugly upscaled 1152x864? Is there any reason it can't just run in 5:4 letter/pillarboxed to 4:3 (so 1280x960)? The game looks bad when it's stretched like that, and there's still plenty of people on this odd resolution, according to the hardware survey on Steam.
