Last Movie you watched...

Recommended Posts

I have yet to see Watchmen. But I'd like to.

I really liked Quantum of Solace. They've really suprised me with the 2 recent quality Bond movies. Both really great films. In my mind, no other Bond comes close.

I recently saw Sky High & Up.

Sky High I had heard good things about. I'm a sucker for superhero stuff. And it turned out to be a pretty good movie. Well done, and had some genuinely funny parts. PLUS it had Bruce Campell, 2 Kids in the Hall, WonderWoman, and a really well picked cast.

I was shocked to learn it was a Disney film. I'd love to see them continue this series over say... High School Musical or any other live action junk they are putting out.

(Plus it featured my new love Danielle Panabaker. I think she's only like 2 years younger then me, so that's not totally creepy/weird right?)

Up was great. I loved it. And I got to see it in 3D. Which is cool. The story was wonderful and emotional. I like how it had main characters you wouldn't normally expect from a big name movie. And yet it pulled it off and I think it would be enjoyable for any age.

You have good taste sir, also I'm glad I'm not obsessed with her anymore, or it'd be all Amok Time up in here.

You love(d) Danielle Panabaker too Scarecrow? Is there any further proof that we are cut from the same cloth?

I guess we could alternate our time with her. I could take weekends and weekdays, and you could take like whatever time was left over. I guess.

Scarecrow, who is your current love interest? If I may be so bold as to ask? Christina Ricci?

Les Quatre Cents Coups (The 400 Blows) which was a surprisingly interesting piece of french cinema.

I could even understand what they were saying in parts of the film due to my taking 5 years of french in middle and high school. I really need to refresh my french language skills.

Horrible, horrible porno

Is there any kind? In recent days, I've gotten more laughs out of porn than actual comedy.

I'm currently stopped in the middle of "Luck of the Irish", a Disney Channel original movie

Wanna fight about it?

Nah, I quickly got over her when she got engaged. I'm split between Audrey Hepburn and Olga Kurylenko right now.

Can't get enough of Tarintino lol

I just realized that I have indeed done a lot of 'Tarantino watching' this week.

Pulp Fiction on Wednesday, Kill Bill Vol. 1 yesterday and Kill Bill Vol. 2 today.

Looks like I'll be watching Reservoir Dogs tonight!

Year One. It was pretty damn funny. Harold Ramis still has a wealth of comedic genius behind him. The movie was basically just "Bible Story Parodies" and the plot was non-existant for the first half-hour or so, but it was good.

Well played sir. Well played.

I heard some bad things about Year one. I still want to see Hangover more then anything else out now.

I don't know why people are hating on Year One, the jokes...albeit crude (What do you expect, it's Jack Black) are still very funny, screw the 1,000 people that said it sucked on Rotten Tomatoes, if you enjoyed Arrested Development, you'll love this. It's basically like Bible Parody Arrested Development the Movie, if that summarizes it for you. Yes Ross, I want to see the Hangover so badly, I've heard good things about that.

I think it's weird that thier casting Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock. He seems, I don't know...unfit for the role. Granted, he's a good actor but that's like saying he would be a good Tony Stark....oh s--t.

Robert Downey Jr is a good casting because in the books...sherlock holmes was actually on drugs (cocaine i think, dont remember)...<_< >_> that didnt start out as a clever quip against Robert Downy Jr. but now it seems that way

Michael Cera doesn't make it like Arrested Development. My love of that show comes from the hilarious characters, and the interaction between them. Year One doesn't seem to have that to me.

Sherlock Holmes was also a very slight fellow and not particularly notable in a physical sense(other than his height) which is partly why Watson is his ideal partner: a strong, handsome, physical presence that juxtaposes Holmes's lithe physique and great intellect. He also acts as an onlooker/narrator for the reader. The drug Holmes used frequently was cocaine, which he injected(his famed leather case), and occasionally morphine. Yet he openly condemns opium. But all drugs were rather common place during the time period.

Ritchie's take on Holmes and Watson is more of a nonsensical action packed role-reversal of the characters as opposed to a faithful adaptation. Personally, I do not think Ritchie has made a good film since Snatch, so my hopes for this film are not altogether high. %-P

I didn't say it did. David Cross however, does. Tobias is and always will be the best. And JJ...that was the lamest come-back ever. If you really want to throw down the gauntlet with "Yo Mamma!" jokes, I suggest you bring your bib, 'cause it's gonna' get messy!
