Weird browser problem, probably not a virus.

So my webrowser (firefox) is occasionally going to the wrong page. It's not like it's being redirected by a virus:

1) It's ALWAYS to a domain I've been to before- Doublefine, for example.

2) It's going to "page not available/found" error pages.

3) The web address in the bar doesn't change, and refreshing always brings up the correct page.

Any idea what's going on?

Hm. Haven't heard of this one before. Have you considered that it might be an issue with an add-on?

dns issue was my first guess too. though fyi it can be affected by viruses too so if it starts happening again it might be that

I also suggest changing the dns server. Your internet settings automatically use your isp's, though I prefer http://www.opendns.com or google's

In some countries ISPs have to block a plethora of websites the government doesn't want you to access, like torrent search engines
