Running Bug List (Likely Spoilers)

Recommended Posts

Found a possible bug in the Northeast corner of the French Quarter. After going into the building and getting up to the third level to smash the candy corn piñata, I went back in the door and expected it to drop me at the first floor. Instead, I just walked around in the doorway space on the third level of the building. Twitch Highlight: http://www.twitch.tv/nmalinoski/c/5257352

Edit: Another possible bug; more of a gripe. When looking at my status, if I use the scroll wheel, the scrolling is much slower than CQ1.

Edit 2: Pterodactyl ability prompt in upper-right-hand corner appears during cutscenes. Screenshot: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=323914894

Where Blob wants you to pick up deliveries on the east side, this quest does not show up on the status screen; instead, I have a quest to pick up 3 deliveries downtown. Is this because I went to the downtown area before talking to Blob?

Edit: Also on the east side, the one house on the east/west street gave me a friendly, but there was a black texture or something in the way; the friendly's face was clipping through it: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=325357276

I checked the line and the Blob quest mentions the city, not downtown. It probably should have explicitly mentioned east side but I don't think it's changing at the point.

There might still be a chance to change the scrolling speed. I do agree that it's slow.

I checked but I didn't see the Pterodactyl icon during cutscenes and that link doesn't work for me.

Okay, understandable, but what's weird is that the quest item in the Status menu told me I need to hit 3 houses, specifically in downtown, when it's 6. I've already passed this point, so I'll have to check it during my second playthrough.

You're right; that link was borked. I've fixed it in that post.

In addition, I found this fun thing where I can skate between the first two fist statues and ride up the wall: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=325449998

And the evil snail model has its upper teeth clipping through its jaw when fully shut: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=325451506 (Probably not the best frame to have snapped that)

And this fun little spot where I can peer through the wall: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=325452401

Edit: I don't know if this is a bug or not, but when you use the Creepy Treat card [Fudge Crystals] to do splash damage on all attacks, the Hot Dog costume, which does splash damage already, does a second or third round of splash damage--adding in the weakness of the costume against the enemies, it's a little confusing to watch. Twitch highlight: http://www.twitch.tv/nmalinoski/c/5279162 -- Oh, I get it now. The normal attack does splash damage, then the Fudge Crystal splash damage is applied, and then the combo attack does splash damage. Nutty.

Edit 2: I spotted this twice. During the final battle, when Orel White DDS has the teeth shown, and the candy corn costume is equipped and active (When it can use Glisten), there is no action selector until I hit A or D to change the selection. Once I do that, I can select Glisten. I think this is because Glisten is the special move, and there is no normal attack (which would be the default).

I don't know if this is supposed to happen?

I was playing with Reynold as my main character and wearing the Floss Robot costume when I triggered the battle with Orel White. For some reason the Robot costume was no longer equipped when the fight started, Reynold was wearing the Candy Corn instead.

Craymen, that's correct. There's no combat version of the floss robot so the main character is forced to switch to another costume.

OK, thanks. I wasn't expecting to trigger the end of the game right then and hadn't had any combat in that costume to observe it happen.

There's still no audio on Linux.

Please, please, PLEASE, fix this :(

Oh and the latest update seems to have deleted my savegame, so there's that as well.

I am playing on an old non-wide screen and sometime in battles the numbers for damage or healing are rendered partially outside the viewable space. Screen Resolution is 1280 x 1024. It is not a big problem, though.

Another small visual problem in battles occurs, when an exploding attack is blocked. The text "Blocked" (or is it "Block"?) appears behind the explosion and is therefore only partially visible.

I kinda see this with CQ1 on a 16:10 monitor; CQ1 appears to zoom instead of letterbox, and, because 16:10 resolutions are slightly narrower at the same height (Or taller at the same width) than 16:9 resolutions, the game image and/or [at least] the map that defines the placement limits for the dialog blurbs is still 16-9-shaped and therefore extends beyond the left and right edges of my monitor.

The way you describe your issue, I imagine something similar is happening with CQ2.
