Digital archeology: How Double Fine, Disney, LucasArts and Sony resurrected Grim Fandango

Recommended Posts

Wow, a lot more people need to check this out.

Serendipitous dumpster dives, the apocryphal "station wagon full of backup tapes", "hey, you're working on the same thing I am? WAT", gobs of gorgeous high-resolution art.

This journey reads like something out of The Atlantic or This American Life, in a great way.

Yeah, that was a very interesting read. I love those kinds of in-depth articles.

Another interesting article "Long Live Grim Fandango" , with several interesting tidbits.

Interesting, though with a few factual errors, the biggest one being that Tim only "helped program and write dialogue for" DOTT and didn't direct (ie lead design) a game until Full Throttle...
