Grievous Absence of the Meriloft Maidens

Recommended Posts

I just completed the game and noticed that the Meriloft Maidens are absent from all ending scenes. While I logically recognize that the artists were reluctant to design new characters for such a brief appearance, I believe that this can also be interpreted as they did not make it off the ship. Are the Meriloft Maidens dead? How can I deal with the absolute trauma created by this shocking event?

Are italics meant to be taken as you roleplaying?

Nope. They are meant to convey sensational emphasis with a hint of sarcasm.

I thought that it was kind of a deliberate joke in the end. That everyone keeps talking about their amazing featherwork that you never get to see.

Plus quality 2D art especially with western salary is damn expensive.

Every character in that game are quite expensive when it comes to first designing them, then drawing them and finally animating them for in-game purposes.

Even my indie game ate like thousands of dollars to character related art.

Maybe they're just really short and you can't see them standing behind the others.
