      These Forums are closing!   10/04/2019

After more than a decade of serving this community well, these forums have finally run their course and it's time to close them down. That doesn't mean we want to close the doors on our community, quite the opposite!
Our discord server grows ever busier by the day, and we encourage all Double Fine fans to meet us over there www.discord.gg/doublefine In a short time these forums will become a read only archive and will remain that way until they become needed again.
You never know, it might happen.  There is... a prophecy. Thank you all for being part of these forums, and remember that the fun is definitely not over - so please join us on Discord! Love ya, Spaff, Tim, Info Cow, and all of Double Fine.

WTF did I just play?

Recommended Posts

Are there different endings to the game depending upon the player's dialogue choices or is it always that anti-climatic? I'm not sure if I'm supposed to play it again or just take the whole thing as one big metaphor for how disappointing and ultimately pointless circle life is.

I don't think it makes any difference what choices you make. I absolutely loved it, though. As a "game" it's pretty dull, but whoever wrote the dialogue gets a trophy. Being funny is hard. Being funny in video games seems especially hard. But this was pretty funny. Especially all of the dialogue when you choose to NOT do things. And the parallelogram who loves telling jokes? So adorable.

That was my favourite character too! I'd like to adopt him and carry him everywhere I go in life; partly because in social situations, my own "jokes" will seem far less cringy by comparison but mostly because I'd like to do things to that parallelogram. Strange and depraved things.

That was a great game. I loved just faffing about.

I'm an adult and I can make my own decisions.

I can do anything I want today.

Aaaaaaaanything I want.
