CREEPY TREAT CARDS

Recommended Posts

So, I've been buying packs of Creepy Treat Cards from the company store, and trying to put together a full set, and I noticed that in the most recent pack I got that the name of one of the cards is actually subtly different from the name of the card in the game. I got the "Fun Size King Size Bar" card, but in game it's actually "King Size Fun Size Bar." What I'm curious about is if this is a misprint that occurs on all of the cards, or if there was just a particular batch of them that were misprinted, making the actual set, including the misprint, 46 cards instead of 45. If you were wondering at any point if I was dork, this line of questioning will hopefully clear that up.

Seriously, though. I love trading cards. Always have. This is the first set I've tried to collect in about 16 or 17 years, but the love never left me, and I know I'll keep trying over and over to get both variations if I know they exist.

My cards read "Fun Size King Size Bar" as well; if it's a misprint, I imagine they're all misprinted.

I'm missing one card, man. One damn card. I'm over 200 dollars in with these things now, and I'm missing one card. Let's see what happens around the 300 mark, I guess!

I went down this hole a while ago; was just missing Peanut Butter Bomb and Peepers. Placed my second order to Fangamer with a double-haiku asking for help with these two cards. To my surprise, they packed in the two cards I was missing into the little pouch they include with all their orders! I was so grateful; and then I found a second set of those cards in the boosters they sent me.

Not the first time this sort of thing happened to me. When I was much younger, I was really into the Pokémon TCG (back when Fossil and Team Rocket sets were still new). My parents, as a birthday gift, bought me a Charizard, since it was one of the few cards I was missing. Within a week, I was opening more base set 1 boosters and got another one.

I've considered writing them, and asking if there was a way to ensure that I get the card I want, but at the same time I don't mind throwing a little extra money at Double Fine, and collecting them is where the fun is anyway. Once I have the last card I'm just going to put the damn things away. I don't know. I probably will mention it if it goes on too much longer, and see if they can help a brother out.

You could do what I did and sleeve and put away a full set in a binder, then build decks with the leftovers. 'Tis the season for Creepy Treat Combat anyway!

It's weird that you posted that today, and I read it about five minutes after getting an email from fangamer that my package was delivered. You creepy bastard, you.
