OSX Start Problem

Recommended Posts

After buying The Cave via the Apple App Store the download and installing went without any problems.

But on the first launch I had to enter my Apple-ID and password to proceed.

I can only guess, what this is good for - maybe storing some game data in ICloud or verifying my purchase.

However, after signing in, the game startet and playing was fun - until I changed the window to another OSX app.

On the return to The Cave a empty window popped up in the middle of the screen, making it impossible to continue playing.

Unfortunately this empty window can't also be closed.

And even worse, this windows shows up on every following game start.

Later on I realized, that this is related to my Apple-ID, because after changing my password, another window pops up - this time a full dialog to sign in the ICloud with my Apple-ID.

But this works only once. After the next start or change of the running app, the empty window is there again, blocking every chance of continuing the game ;-(

What can be done to fix this weird problem?

(I have a Retina MacBook Pro with sufficient power - so that performance or graphical issues could be ruled out, as I assume.)

Well, let's give it a try.

It actually worked.

A nice support guy told me to disable the Game Center Account in the OS X system preferences.

That did it ;-)
