I saw Umphrey's McGee at the Beacon on Friday and I liked them so much that I went and saw them Saturday too:

I saw them at a festival in I think 2011 but the memories were hazy at best, to the point that I didn't know that I really liked them until I saw them again. But they're probably the tightest jamband touring today, and they're really progressive and technical which is kind of an odd niche but I really like it. I'm going to try to see them a lot more often.

I'm kind of hoping that I have a similar experience with Lotus tomorrow, because they're playing the next 5 nights in New England and I could feasibly get to all the shows but like Umphrey's I've only seen them at festivals before and don't really remember much

The lead guitarist has my favorite tone of any jamtronica band though.

I just watched this, it's the Disco Biscuits jamming to the movie Akira, and it's one of the coolest things I've ever seen (it's in 2 parts) and aside from the music it's a really cool movie

I think you have to get rid of the 's' in 'https'. Just using the video ID for embedding works as well.

How significant is the flute in your liking of Jethro Tull?

I listened to the entirety of The Low End Theory the other day (after only hearing Can I Kick It? and One, Two, Shit by A Tribe Called Quest) and proceeded to acquire it and listen to it many times. I've just been loving this album so much, the whole thing is just so chill (both the production and their voices) and has been a great album for me to put on when I'm exercising or whatever.

The Standout tracks for me are: Excursions, Buggin' Out, Butter, Check the Rhyme (dat f*cking Brass sample!!!!) and Everything is Fair.

So the infamous Oderus from GWAR died today. RIP, one of the most legendary and influential metal bands of all time. Honestly a creative genius and he really went balls to the wall every night. Pay respect to your overlords. We wouldn't have the Insane Clown Posse if it weren't for GWAR.

Who want to take me up on these odds for autopsy:

Crack 1:1

Meth 1:2

If you're into epic orchestraic sounding stuff like Two Steps From Hell, and especially if you dig strings, you gotta give this one a whirl:

I've really been into the album "Moment of Truth" by Gang Starr lately, definitely making me want to check out the whole GS discography.

The whole album is really good, but these are probably my favorite songs on it.

I f*cking love all the record scratching!

THAT SCRATCHIIIING OMG

+1 for HipHop with brass samples.

Edit: Thread was being a butt and wouldn't let me embed for some reason.

Listening to

from Kill La Kill makes me really want to find some music that is a mix between marching band and metal.

This bangs so hard, what a great blend of rap and edm.

Sometimes when I hear Redman and Method rap together though, all I can hear is this:

ELTON JOHN vs SYSTEM OF A DOWN

Bwahaha! It's been a while since I found a good happy-vs-hard mashup. This one is pretty amazing. Good work.

One of my friends from Wakfu introduced me to this site. Some of the tracks aren't that great, but a lot of them are AWESOME. (If you like video gamey electronic pop music type stuff.)

Have fun.
