Look what i found again! Django 100! This basically is a tribute to jazz legend Django Reinhardt. I couldn't find a good version on youtube, so please use the site. It's basically a orchestra composed of 100 guitars (...) playing his minor swing. Such things don't happen to often and it's worth watching, everyone should know the minor swing, it was in tons of movie and game soundtracks, it's a modern classic.

Very different, but maybe you also like Pat Martino then. His story is also very inspiring, he's a incredible man, though he seems feeble he's one tough bastard.

Wow, searched him now. Amnesia eh. Nice relaxing tune that one!

Here's something completely different!

That's beautiful, man! Princess Mononoke was a beautiful world too, but i've never seen the film, only read the manga, great to hear that the music was up to par. The Piano also had wonderful modern classic, sadly the theme was covered (and ruined) by (i think) nightwish, but nevermind, the original is and stays beautiful.

Man, the bad mouthing of Nightwish wants to make me remind you that they were actually quite amazing at one point. I also think that whilst Once and DPP weren't great, Imaginaerium is although very different from how they used to be. They never did do anything with Mononoke Hime's theme though as far as I know, they're known for covering Walking in the Air (and doing it better than the original)

Nope - sorry, Nightwish isn't doing it for me. I just don't like it. Covering "The Hears Asks Pleasure First" is unfortunate for them from my perspective, but if it does something for you, just run with it, i can't dictate taste.

It's kitschy and weird and not really up to par but i wanted to post this for a while now, i really quite like it, it's catchy and what makes it special is the fact that it got a astronomy theme to it which is rather rare, and refreshing knowing that it's mostly about the undead, beardly men and decapitation, don't get me wrong - i love stuff like Amon Amarth, but such a theme it's just so damn rare - besides: It's catchy!

How come we get into metal so much? Not that i dislike it, but others may prefer different things. Well, i promise that my next 3 post will contain no metal.

Because we're posting what we like, and what I like is metal. Exclusively? no, but it's the style that I have real passion for.

Now just for a varied trio.

YEES!

Agreed.

Support the drug habits of middle aged men from scandinavia and buy a Øresund Space Collective album. Thank you very much.

No seriously, they are really cool. They are one of a kind and a real gem. It's basically all just one huge jam session with them, no matter if live or on CD it's always improvised. The more time you give them the better it gets actually.

Black Tomato, actually is really cool, one day i had the CD on repeat all for 24hours which was epic, and i still love it.

Caravan Palace - zomg zomg zomg! my face has been rocked right the eff off my skull! love it.

It actually reminded me that I haven't listened to Hell by the Squirrel Nut Zippers in a loooooong time.

Oresund Space Collective - I'm diggin' it. I feel like I should be on some kind of psychedelic drugs or something for this.

Tilbury - I don't know... I'm kinda on the fence on this one. I sorta like it but I sorta don't. Hm. Really can't say!

I shall contribute some mind.in.a.box

And here is a pretty one of a completely different style

Ooh! that one was actually pretty sweet! The vocals weren't quite up to snuff with the rest of the music, but that's partly on account of the fact that the rest of the music was pretty sweet!

I'm in the mood to spread some Me First & The Gimme Gimmes love. I'm sure at least some of you astute music hounds have encountered them before, but if you've never had the pleasure, now is the time.

They don't really do a lot of "official" music videos, so pardon the crappy fan vids!

From the 60's album:

From the show tunes album:

From the R&B album:

Wicked video.

We have to resurrect this topic.

Why do i keep posting old stuff? xD Well it's timeless, and got some of the probably coolest bits of saxophone ever put on vinyl.

Taake is probably my new favorite black metal band. This whole album is fucking flawless. Good early morning hike music. Black metal and nature go so good together.
