Been listening to this fairly unknown Indie Electronic band called Starship Amazing a lot lately and figured I should share some tracks.

These are great, I'm definitely checking out more by them.

It's always exciting to find a new band, and i just did, they are from Jel's country and sound actually quite good, considering they only have a demo with 3 tracks. They told me that they start recording an EP end of this month, and it should be out in december/january.

You can listen to it and buy the demo here:

Personally i like "Laments" best.

Glad you liked it, but if really like them, you should check out the members' other projects. The one who does the beats (Calvin Hansen) has a side project called WTA JRK, where he does mash-ups, http://wtajrk.com.

The one who does the melodies, (Derek Alexander) does the Happy Video Game Nerd, game reviews on underrated retro games, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFhtpiyQMdU.

They also do a podcast together with a friend called Nothing Matters and it's pretty good, http://nothingmatterspodcast.com/

Here's a quirky rock band for you.

To my ears, a lot of their stuff strikes me as vaguely Primus-like with a punk rock overhaul. Less the political sort of punk and more of the "bunch of silly jackasses not taking any of this seriously at all" sort of punk.

The lyrics to this make me chuckle, and their music's not too bad either. Love the genre change-up they do for a moment there in the middle.

David Byrne and St Vincent released a collaboration album with some really nice music on it. This track was hard to get into at first but has really grown on me and I hear something new on each listen.

It's not often I find hip hop/rap songs I like (in fact this is only the the second one).
