Development Roles & Handling of Narrative in Doublefine

Hi!

I'm currently studying for a Masters level degree in Game Development, and I'm researching the current state of certain roles within the industry. I was really wanting to get Double Fine's take on some of it, and I thought - since it might be of interest to everyone - the forums might be a good place to start the conversation!

Specifically, I'd like to know how story content is handled. I've noted in interviews that Tim Himself tends to write most of the dialogue, but how about telling the story through environment design or character animation, or even the gameplay itself? Is there someone responsible specifically for story content across the multiple disciplines, or is it left to the individuals? How is it tracked and communicated between the different disciplines?

Thanks in advance guys. Really hoping to learn more about Double Fine's production methods.
