I get the feeling that these people really resent Angry Birds and First-Person Shooters.

They should make an Angry Birds FPS.

Haven't seen one yet.

Alpha Colony: MULE - yet another Rob Swigart’s Portal?

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/warbirdgames/jack-houston-and-the-necronauts?ref=recently_launched Jack Houston and the Necronauts, a stop-motion sci-fi adventure game.

This looks awesome, although maybe a little ambitious for a first time developer with such a low budget.

FYI, this stop-motion point and click adventure is his third game.

The lead developer is also working on Han Solo Adventures, a point and click SCUMM-like game.

Demo here:

His first game was a shareware title called Shadow of the Lost Citadel in 2001. It was a fan sequel to the RPG Dark Tower.

I see people are already posting stuff for Jack Houston and the Necronauts here, excellent!

Here's a peek at some concept art:

Did a quick key word search of the lists and didn't see this one on it:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1878730846/reincarnation-the-root-of-all-evil

Reincarnation is a series of flash made point-and-click games that have been getting rave reviews over Kongregate and Newgrounds. This full length game has been in the works for a tad over a year and a half now, till the idea of using Kickstarter was brought up. It's a fun series and worth a look to anyone who has never played any of them. I really do hope he gets the money for this.

We've got six days left and are $11,600 to the $15K goal. If you're interested in this series or are completely new to it, you may wish to look up a few of the previous games on Kongregate before deciding if you want to donate or not.

Agreed. I'm on board with this one, and it's looking great! It's at $12,697 with 4 days to go. Just needs a $2303 last-minute rescue (a little over $600/day). In the reward tiers exist ways to get the cutie little plush dolls from his last successful Kickstarter campaign. In

, the main character himself pitches for the project.

I'm also backing Jack Houston and the Necronauts (as mentioned above).

I'm backing Echoes of Aeons, which is an RPG with graphics that look like a point and click adventure game. I don't know how good it will be, but I like the look and at $10 for both desktop and mobile platforms I think it's a good deal.

Thanks for reminding me. I had Detective Grimoire starred as a reminder to check it out, and your message reminded me to look at the video. I'm sold.

Another small adventure / mystery game that looks cool.

You can try the flash demo to get a better feel of the game.

Plus, for 4$, sounds like good value for money.

I like this one. I first played the original flash game that this is a sequel to about the time the double fine kickstarter went up. I was excited when I heard a second one was coming out and that excitement went up ten fold when I saw some of the art style and game-play. I'm a little sad at how little time they have to raise the money, but I wish them luck.

Project Giana is the first project in a long time that I actually really like the look of, I won't bother wasting words or posting the pleading video, instead I'll post the gameplay video they put up of the first level instead!

I should report that this Kickstarter was successfully funded a few weeks ago. Good job all!

Jack Houston has reached its funding goal. There's still about 40 hours left to reach stretch goals.

Here's a lithograph of the second playable character:

(some of the pledge tiers will get you this and/or another one (or all of them).

It would be good if the "in danger" post at the beginning of the thread could include Shadowrun Online (an online co-op turn-based RPG based on the Shadowrun universe). It's made really good progress this week, but is looking like a Republique-style jump will be needed for it to fund.

I've tried the demo of Dominique Pamplemousse and I'm in two mind about this project.

On one hand, it is a crazy concept (musical + stop motion + adventure game) and I like it.

On the other hand, the music can become grating because of its repetitiveness and the whole thing has a very low-fi feel to it.

But I'll end up participating, especially since the price tag for the game is so low.

My feeling exactly.

The Tesla Museum project is worth pledging some money to. Here's the Indiegogo link.

Planetary Annihilation looks like a really interesting project from Uber Entertainment. They've made Monday Night Combat and Super Monday Night Combat.

I like the look of it but for one thing if it's only multiplayer I'm not interested and for another I don't like the "$15 limited reward equivalent to the $20 reward for the game". Why don't you just put it all at $15?

A stop motion musical detective adventure game, with a playable demo: http://www.indiegogo.com/pamplemousse

+1 for Pamplemousse!

If nothing else (and judging by Deirdra's past creations I strongly suspect it'll be something else, too) it's something new that hasn't been done before (adventure game musical!) that'll hopefully inspire others to investigate that neighbourhood. (It already has inspired me to do so.)
