Well, there's always the new location that is called *drumroll please* Ne Wl Ocat Ion; the town where everything splices in unusual places; doorways in the middle of rooms that lead to completely different buildings, windows that look in on themselves (think the million person mirror). Ooh, speaking of mirrors, please don't do the 'object hidden in a hall of mirrors' gag.

A concept from a book I've never quite gotten around to finishing, or getting much beyond the beginning of (but who's concept you are welcome to use) is a doorway in the back of a bookstore that connects two different times: the time before 'the event', and the hard times that follow. The first world is the one like our own, the other is a place where random objects are cherished, living is harsh, and the world is reverting back to its natural state.

Others location could always be a jellyfish colony, Broccoli Forest, the incredibly nauseating world of pink puppies, giant rabbits, and mobile spoon factories. If you find yourself inside a giant chocolate egg, you've gone too far.

- A CAKE farm

- in and around the Sun

- inside a human...or any other creature

- a quantum realm

- a realm made entirely of energy

- a pot of cheese

- willy wonka's edible candy room, except people are also edible

- a world where everyone's emotions are shown through elements (fire for anger, water for calmness, etc)

- inside a computer, like in that tv show ReBoot

- underwater Atlantis

- a world made of non-Newtonian fluids

- a level where the level of kinetic energy changes the environment

- a video games convention with armies of fans of the latest shooters

- a construction site for a theme park (about some cute merchandise of course but its dangerous, deadly and gruesome since its under construction)

- inside the servers of a social network

- at the training camp of super hero interns

- in the office of the world's largest games publisher

- in a parallel dimension where people have no thumbs

I've always been intrigued about this house that we have in Buenos Aires, it's in the middle of the river not too far from the coast, you can see it from the road.

1303227.jpg

Now I know that it's some kind of water supply thing, but when I was a kid I was super curious about that place, I'd always imagine a guy living there, like he had a normal nice house but somehow everything around him crumbled and he ended up alone, in the river...

A world with no inertia

The space between book pages

Underwater planet

A whole world within a chimney

A planet with the surface of scotch tape

A desert where metallic poles grow

how about Romania? :D

if you are looking for something strage and out of the usual, play some Planescape Torment, you won't regret it.

for example, this is Sigil, the main city where the story takes place

other nice places:

oh, and don't forget, every respectable adventure game must have a swamp forest area! :)

Boringly overdone place

(a changing place who actively tries to be interesting,

switching between decors each time you enter,

but fails to show any kind of imagination)

Examples includes:

Ice level, with snow, ice, sliding floor, and snowmen!!!

Fire level, with magma pools, and salamanders!!!

Desert level, with burning sun, cacti, scorpions, and serpents!!!

Dark cave, with stalagmites, pits, bats, and bears!!!

Ancient magical forest, with talking trees, fairies and gnomes!!!

Pirate ship, with pirates, treasures, [del]and rum[/del] and grog!!!

Haunted house, with creaking stairs, ghosts, and skeletons in cupboards!!!

Mad circus, with balloons, clowns, acrobats, and a lion tamer!!!

Hellish place, with skulls, fire pits, and demons!!!

Dusty spacey moon place, with dust, rocks, and bouncing astronauts...

...

...(Uh... I think I felt asleep)...ackstreet, with a trashcan, and rats!!!

...(zzz)...

Hey, wake-up!

(Sorry... Oh, my... I forgot something on the fire... Bye!!!)

Why nobody loves meeee?

- A supermarket that only sells cereal. Some of the brands may or may not be magical.

- A city where the ground is made of balls (like a ball bath/pit)

- Inside a telephone. The character living in the phone intercepts the phone calls and messes with the phone owner's head.

- A world relying on candle light instead of sunlight. The big candle of life slowly gets smaller and smaller as time passes.

- A veterinarian's office.

- A world/town obsessed with the game musical chairs. There is constant music playing, but when it stops everyone has to find a chair to sit on.

- A town where everyone gets a medal for good deeds done. Everyone has to wear all their gathered medals at all times. Some characters in town can barely move because of the weight of all their collected medals.

- A town that's in constant upwards construction because it's eternally sinking away into quicksand (or jello? custard?)

The Brutal Legend world of course and you can make Eddie appear as a NPC.

In fact it would be neat to visit each world of each game you made. But well surely this copyright thingy wouldn't let you do it since you don't hold the rights to the IPs right?

A place where music can be seen. Bright, vibrant colours.

Land of dreams, where things are always abnormal and your always able to spot something different no matter the scene.

A crystal cave, where there are crystals from all various colours.

Give it something abnormal, be real different, you already changed how some games can be budgeted so let's try changing the way games feel and look?

Concept worlds,

- A society where water also has the propterties of alcohol, so everyone is, and always has been, drunk. How would society have evolved, if at all? Would the youngest be in charge, being the most sober? What if you stopped someone from drinking, what would their hangovers be like?

- A universe that is rapidly aging backwards and forwards. Noticing changes in the timeline allows you to alter history accordingly.

- A universe where time dilates from your starting point, so the further away from it you are, the faster time moves there. Equally, the closer you are to it, the slower everything else further away from it seems.

- 'You are what you eat' You gain the properties of whatever you consume, and everything in the world is edible.

- Where music is a tangible object, and used as currency. Particularly rare sounds are most valuable, so people are explorers and adventurers, armed with microphones and dictophones.

For actual locations,

- A tea plantation high in the hills, during the monsoon season

- Compost heap

- The head of a pin

- Inside a cloud, where various weather conditions begin to form

- An art gallery, where you can hop in and out of the paintings

I would like to see:

I, don't know how to explain, it's not the void, I think the best name would be THE NOTHING, the start of the world, all is white, the only colored thing is your shadow (and perhaps some geometric shapes)

And a world full of optical illusions

A world where light is opposite, ie. sunshine = dark and closed room with no windows = bright

A cave in the sea world of underwater monkies

A world where everyone talks like yoda, "warm today is, rain it might"

A world with no war or violence where every conflict is settled with dance competitions

A fish tank full of piranha's with rotten teeth

A mine that digs for ice cream

A world thats covered with a shiny slippery white coating, wait, d'oh

I've always wanted to see a music history game. Some musical places:

The Sunset Strip in the 1980s

The Mississippi crossroads where Robert Johnson sold his soul

The mod London underground in the mid-1960s

The Harlem 52nd Street jazz clubs in the mid-1940s

The Rat Pack era of Vegas in the early 1960s

The angsty Seattle grunge scene of the early 1990

Underwater sinkhole, A boundary between the shallow coral ocean and the deep inky depths.

Extra-dimensional Jazz room with checker floors and only three colours; red, white, & black.

A super-sized version of a heart hanging on chains between the rocky magma mantle and the liquid metal core.

Bleached pillars and bridges standing in a sea of colourful currents and whirlpools.

A pure white clinical realm full of twisting paths and blank creatures, horrors lurking in the light.

A completely silent dark moon, with the only land features being static sounds that break that silence.

A pitch black cavern filled with light draining miasma where only sound can be used to navigate.

An average old house through the borrower's eyes, an new perspective on a familiar setting.

Hills and fields full of tall grasses, bamboos, and flowers of various colours and heights.

A explicitly 2D space in a digital place, where the whole of the Internet is available.

A wooden landscape sculpt by booth the winds and the gods, smooth and grainy.
