ONE SONG that fits the mood of Brutal Legend the best

Recommended Posts

There is this pretty fresh Swedish power/traditional metal band called Dream Evil, they have a cathalogue of songs with metal praising lyrics, that truly Command(!) you to head bang.

You should give a listen to the following songs

The book of heavy metal -

-this one COMMAND your head to bang, and it has awesome lyrics

no Way - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLfJ-ZOx2Yk -really speedy fast with lyrics that fit the feel of the game

into the moonlight -

-this track has only one word, EPIC

Heavy metal Jesus - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CfmxE5-XiY -possibly the best song for this game i can think of.

Else we should have some sabaton.

Metalizer -

-realy great power/speed with uniqe vocals, and lyrics that shivers my spine

Attero Dominantus -

-as brutal you get, without wearing corpse paint, metal made for battle!

Metal machine -

-this is like a bag of "Easter eggs" lyrics with references to the older and classic metal songs.

Only two of those are actually metal and only two of the others are mistaken for metal from time to time. "Supernaut" wouldn't be a bad choice, though.

Who ever said it had to be metal? As long as it sets the mood.

Welcome Home-Coheed and Cambria

Well, it's a game about a metal universe. Metal is indicated in the mission statement. If that doesn't do it, then consider the fact that it's a game based on the myths and legends of metal, taking place in a world based on metal imagery, filled with characters and creatures inspired by those dwelling within metal album covers. I don't see where anything else could fit in aside from a few genre crossovers with metal.

Well it doesn't necessarily need to be metal because it gets you in the mood for ripping apart people using the power of pure, unfiltered, balls out guitar magic. This can also come from rock along with metal. Really anything that makes you want to kill everything in site, The things being killed just happen to be in the skin of metal. You can listen to metal then go kill pretty ponies as well, if you can find a game where you actually kill ponies. That should be Schafer's next project.

The mood that needs to be conveyed, though, in this case is pretty specified. The game isn't purely about killing. If it were, "Joey" by Bob Dylan would fit. If it were purely about 'guitar magic', then Django Reinhardt would fit. Both are awesome, but neither would actually fit the game.

Yeah, from my understanding Coheed and Cambria music is about a couple who gets married then is in some plot to end the world. Not that Brutal, though that song is really catchy.
