Oculus Rift support?

Recommended Posts

The answer is yes, but there's a catch.

Note this Vine:

We made Dropchord work with the Oculus when we got a devkit in the office, but unfortunately it's not going to ship with the support. It was a pretty nasty hack-job [by me] to get it to work and we didn't have the time to clean it up.

The coolest part about that little experiment, though, was showing ourselves how awesome "2D" games are with Oculus. Like, the game is still 2D, but it's sitting on a plane a few feet in front of you. If you turn around, you're still in the world, but it's like you're looking away from the TV that's got the game on it.

There's crazy amounts of room there for experimentation with immersion while playing traditionally 2D games.
