Last item(s) you purchased?

Both as download. Because FUCK carts.

You're gonna be pissed if something happens to your 3ds itself. I would be more inclined to get downloads for it if Nintendo doesn't tie them to the system only and not a universal profile.

Also downloads are more expensive and you can't resell them like you can with carts.

Trust me at least the cheaper part is wrong for both.

Downloads are about 10% more expensive here. Isn't that the case in Germany?

The last item I bought:

You might recall that I already bought a Wii U a couple of weeks ago. The reason why I bought one again is that the carrier that was supposed to deliver it screwed up and didn't deliver it. The weird thing is that it was supposed to ship together with Super Mario 3D World, which I did receive well before Christmas. I was in contact with the company I bought it from and they contacted the carrier, who had no idea what happened to the console. I decided that I'd rather cancel the order, since there's no telling when or if it might get here, and the one I ordered now is both cheaper and comes with a game I'm much more interested in than Nintendo Land.

It looks interesting, I've heard some good things, and I tend to enjoy metroidvania-style games, particularly challenging ones.

I bought the Jet Set Radio Future/Sega GT 2002 Xbox disc from a swap shop for $1, only to realize when I brought it home that Xbox 360 slims don't come with the Xbox emulator since it requires a hard drive. :/

So I bought a Western Digital drive on eBay, and flashed the firmware to make it Xbox 360 compatible (there was no way I was paying the price that Xbox 360 Slim hard drives are currently going for).

But maybe he intends to play those games?

The ones I didn't buy purely for the cards should be worth at least a try, and I've already beat Stick It.

For once I didn't actually buy much in the Steam sale.

(Mostly because I owned about 70% of it already! xD)

EDIT: Kicking myself that I missed out on Transformers though. :(

EDIT:

Hammerwatch

Valdis Story: Abyssal City

Bioshock Infinite Season Pass Preorder ROW

Mark of the Ninja: Special Edition DLC

Trine 2: Complete Story Upgrade

Risk of Rain

Chivalry Deadliest Warrior

Dishonored: The Brigmore Witches (ROW)

And then outside of steam:

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

See? Mostly DLC

Ah, let's see. What did I buy on Steam?

- Alter Ego

- Goodbye Deponia (Premium)

- DuckTales Remastered

- Surgeon Simulator 2013

- Toki Tori 2 (used one of my half-dozen vouchers)

- Skyrim

- Guacamelee! Gold (Soundtrack Edition)

- Nihilumbra

- Mark of the Ninja: Special Edition

- Valdis Story: Abyssal City

- Flashback

- The Inner World

And stuff not from Steam but that redeemed on it:

- Lego Marvel Super Heroes :)

- Assassin's Creed III (Deluxe Edition)

- Castle of Illusion

...wow, that's more than I thought. And it's not even counting the Telltale Secret Santa I bought stuff for. Yeesh.

I did REALLY well.

I over-spent on Christmas gifts and decided to set my entertainment budget at $0 for a whole month. Besides our Secret Santa, I only purchased 1 game and it was under $5.

Didn't expect to buy myself anything during the Steam sale, but like always temptation got the better of me.

I got:

Skyrim - Legendary Edition

Assassins Creed 3 - Deluxe Edition

The Walking Dead Season 2

Civilization V: Brave New World

My haul:

*Two expansions for Crusader Kings II, from Amazon, that I have no idea when I'll play,

*Runner 2 + Good Friends DLC. Played for 2h+ and I quite like it.

*Castler Crashers - Played for about 1h. Quite good also. The movements for the characters with bows are annoying, and the graphics are bit too much "Flash", but it's still an entertaining Golden Axe clone.

*Gunpoint - From the Humble Store. Already beaten. Really liked it. Want more.

*Bioshock Infinite Season Pass. Didn't really like the game, but the pricing error for the season pass put it down to 5€ so I felt I had to buy it.

*Guacamelee - 3,75€ at the Humble Store. Already had it through PS+ on PS3, but it came with a DRM free copy, so why not, at that price? It's ok, but not that much more.

I also ended up getting a little more than I was going to during the sale:

* Bit.Trip.Runner 2 + Soundtrack + Good Friends Character Pack

The dancing animations for Josef from Machinarium there is alone worth the price for that game. :)

I assume it's not your first copy of the soundtrack?

I watched the first season again sometime before Christmas. Still love it. Gave the other season another try but I'm still not able to get into it. There are elements to it that I like, but it just seems so drawn out, even accounting for how the pacing usually was in series back then.

Thanks for the heads up. Knowing that, I might continue watching until the murder is resolved and then quit too.

You should put an update about how good that PS2 converter is when you get a chance. I am looking for a good one myself.

Likewise. Not that I NEED a PS2-HDMI Converter, but it'd be interesting to hear what it's like. I've got a Wii-HDMI one and it works pretty well.

Anyway. I was pleasantly surprised to find the following on eBay going for rather little, so I swept in and made a bid for it towards the final few seconds, not really expecting to win since I never do, but you never know.

And I actually won.

So, for the grand price of £5.50 (around $7.50), I have just bought:

New, Sealed and with the Deathstroke DLC.

...huh.
